Get away in Cambridge

The motel was on the main street, they had some on site parking, it was clean and rooms were tidy. There was also a communal kitchen / dining room. Out the reception doors, there were 2 fish and chips shops and a lovely Thai restaurant that did takeaways as well as a restaurant to dine in. All were just a few steps away. I would highly recommend this motel, it was value for money.

Beds were very comfortable

Our room was very hot. There was a fan to use, but this didn't work. Air conditioning in other room didn't work. There was a screwdriver stuck in the airconditioning unit. Not a good Look. I turned on the shower, pulled the door shut, couldn't open door at first. Seemed like door was stuck. I finally got the door opened. After reshutting the door behind me in the showner, I was scared it was going to break. The door definately needs to be replaced.

Excellent location and service, definitely will book here again!

Our family spent Christmas at this hotel, wonderful location and it was a truly enjoyable stay. The service was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our visit. We also appreciated the simple but convenient self-service free breakfast, which included coffee, tea, cereal, bread, and delicious condiments – everything we needed to start the day. Thank you for making our holiday relaxing and memorable!

Great place for short stay with all the amenities necessary in good, clean condition.

The location was really convenient as there are food options within walking distance. Check in was easy, the receptionist was friendly and knowledgable. Water pressure was superb.

The exterior is undergoing some refurbishment and it makes it seem uninviting. The gap under the door allows for sound to travel into the room - some guests talk really loud in the hall way.

Convenient & comfortable

Rooms were ready early which was a bonus and our two rooms were side by side which was helpful. Great sized room, with lots of towels & supplies. Communal kitchen facilities and simple supplied DIY breakfast was handy. Great location. Rooms are old & a bit tired looking, but for this price point, can't complain. Handy location for a night after the evening Hobbiton banquet, 25 minute drive away.

For short stay accommodation it is great in a convenient location.

The room was very clean. Also the bed was very comfortable with nice pillows. Also like the kitchen facilities for self catering plus complimentary breakfast.

There was no aircon or ceiling fan system. A bag stand plus bedside tables on both sides would be helpful.

Only downside was that we were at the front of the motel and as the motel is on the main road, we had lots and lots of traffic noise. Not too bad during the night but from say 5am onwards very noisey.

Really enjoyed our stay as it was right in town, but not noisy.

Really suited our visit to Cambridge to visit family. The staff were very helpful. Our room was clean and beds were warm and comfortable. Our room was close to the old fashioned but convenient lift.

The bathroom was rather too small, but the shower was excellent. Unfortunately our TV reception was having a lot of interference. We should have complained, but didnt see any staff at the time. May have been a faulty connection.

The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had all my requirements there.There was plenty of tea, sugar and milk for my requirements. The staff were very friendly and happy to meet my requirements.

I missed an electric blanket on the bed. It would have been nice to have a couple more power points in the vicinity of the bed. I had a phone, laptop and hearing aids that all needed to be plugged in. The heatpump seemed to take an age before the room started to warm up, once it was warm, it was fine for the rest of the night.

The location was perfect for our needs. I liked that we were able to have adjoining rooms with our friends. The communal showers were close to our rooms 😊 The dining room - nice place to chat to others guests

The Place to Stay in Cambridge.

I am a regular. I have used this motel many times when I travel to and from Gisborne and Kaitaia. Everything is just right, especially the off street parking for my motorbike. The included DIY brekkie is a bonus.
