If the spa was open and the evening dining better this would be an excellent place to stay

Location, quality of rooms, beds, breakfast excellent and breakfast staff friendly and helpful, parking free and plentiful, fridge in room

Spa closed, where to eat dinner is confusing, dinner menu doesn't offer many no sugar/healthy options and is dumped in front of you with no care, starter not even taken away before main arrived. Building works noisy. Sign in room didnt say no vaping so someone woke us up at 515 am - a clear sign would hopefully avoid this.

Comfortable and convenient

I like the ambiance of the hotel, as well as the location.

That walls look nicely and recently decorated but skirting boards are damaged and shabby in places in the rooms (we stayed in 2 rooms as had to change room) and in particular, the bathroom door in the second room (room 22) was in bad repair. I also had to report that the main door of Room 22 wouldn’t reliably lock - we had to keep adjusting the lock mechanism for the door to lock securely.

Quiet and out of the way. Very good breakfast

The heater in the room was so noisy we could not sleep with it on, and at -1 degrees outside we needed the heating on. It was a brand new heater why on earth did they install them. Food in the restaurant was overpriced and not good quality food.

Friendly helpful staff. Mary on reception was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfy and clean. Great breakfast buffet with plenty of options.

Convenient, high quality and good vfm.

Immaculate, spacious rooms. Comfy bed, massive TV and modern, functional bathroom. Whole veie was really clean and professionally presented. Hayley on reception was lovely and explained / reassured noise from 2x functions wouldn’t be heard in our room. Sadly don’t arrive in time to use all the facilities.

Wasn’t particularly clear on booking that breakfast wasn’t included. However, daughter ate free. No major gripe.

The staff at breakfast were hopeless,nothing was right from start of breakfast till we left ,the manager was hopeless no customer service at all ,food wasn’t ready in time ,staff complaining to the customers,on a whole needs looked at from start to finish very disappointed at the end of it all ,lady in reception was nice to us and listened to our complaints,but wouldn’t consider staying here again!

I would highly recommended this hotel for business stays.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure that the needs of myself and a work colleague were met with regards to use of rooms for business purposes. The room was clean and spacious with no overt noise coming in. The hotel is itself relatively secluded from heavy traffic which helps. The pool and sauna facilities are all clean and work very well. There is ample parking available. The all-day dining options were all well cooked and with good portion sizes.

The breakfast buffet is satisfactory and probably the only source of improvement that I could recommend.

My stayed at the Holiday Inn in Gosforth with my friend to celebrate her upcoming wedding, and we honestly had the best time! From the moment we arrived, the staff were so welcoming and friendly — they really made us feel special. Our room was spotless, comfy, and had such a relaxing atmosphere. Everything just felt easy and stress-free, which was exactly what we needed. The hotel itself was lovely and had a really nice vibe — perfect for a little getaway. It was such a great experience overall, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere clean, comfortable, and full of friendly faces. We’ll definitely be back! 💕

Honestly, there was nothing to fault! Everything about our stay was just lovely — from the friendly staff to the spotless room and the relaxing atmosphere. the breakfast is excellent, lots of selection. the room is huge and liked new. very comfortable to stay. it clean and nice.

we booked for the swimming pool. we even email the property of the schedule of the pool and theres no problem with that. but once we went there its under maintenance. we suppossed to celebrate my daughter’s birthday there but we just stayed in our room just using the free wifi. even the Television no internet no netflix. just local boring channels.

Very modern and clean. Staff were all amazing to so nice. The bedrooms were spotless and bed and pillows very comfortable. Great value for money.
