The location is superb, hotel is clean, room service is great, and the room has airconditioning, check-in, bag drop and key pickup were easy. Breakfast was delivered to our room.
If you need to request an early breakfast, make sure that your request is completely clear. I'd recommend communicating with the customer service team to ensure breakfast does get requested daily. Despite filling out the meal request form, we did not receive the breakfast items we had requested. The hot breakfast was tasty but not great (I am truly baffled by the resounding outstanding reviews; we found it to be slightly better than satisfactory).
The shower is tiny. I am petite and struggled.
If you sleep hot and the weather is also hot, the air conditioner will struggle. Local law stipulates that the temperature cannot go below 20* C (68* F). We were provided an oscillating fan upon request-this was critical even as we were on the ground floor.
I was not expecting to sleep on a murphy bed. I fought with the metal hinges on night one. I found wedging a pillow in between extremely helpful. At 500€ ($589 USD) for a 3 night stay (3-6 July, 2025) I was expecting the ornate room as depicted in the property photographs, not a murphy bed. A murphy bed is fine when you visit friends/family, not for a high end hotel/B&B. I could have stayed elsewhere for significantly less had I known that this was the case. Perhaps the hotel could indicate the room that you get and price it appropriately for future guests.
