Good for just getting head down and eating breakfast skiing good close to main lift

The room was very dark not enough light didn't see a lift had to drag heavy bag up stairs no light in shower very dark

Area was nice. The main hotel was lovely, but the annex that we were in not so great.

Nice property, but a very small room for the price And unfortunately it was reported but the heater in the bathroom didn’t work. The extractor fan in the bathroom was not working and on the morning of that leaving at 4 o’clock there was no hot water in the bathroom at all obviously it was too early to moan about it But that was disappointing. I presume the water doesn’t come on till maybe seven or 8 o’clock in the morning.

Lovely hotel and facilities in beautiful area

Beautiful hotel in a beautiful town! Loved the sauna facilities (choice of saunas and steam room, loungers inside and out) but just wished they'd been open longer. Room was pleasant and comfortable with nice wooden furnishings. Cleaned daily with clean sauna towels and bathrobe and slippers. My room had a nice balcony with a view. There is a garden between the two partner hotels with sun loungers which was lovely and very peaceful during the day. I read some reviews that said the nearby bar could be loud, however I was visiting during the off-season and wasn't bothered by any noise from there. The inclusion of the Summer Card is excellent and I'm so glad I chose one of the hotels that offer this: it can't be bought separately but is great value including cable cars, ferries, lido access etc so I had some lovely excursions. The area is truly picturesque and well worth exploring! The staff are very nice although it did take a little long to sort some things out (see below), but everything was very amiable and they kindly brought a water kettle to my room for hot drinks when I requested - thank you :) Overall I really enjoyed my stay!

Would have loved the sauna/relaxation area to be open a bit longer. It's only open 4-8pm (which I didn't realise before), so there aren't many hours to use, especially if you've been out for the day or have dinner at that time. For those unfamiliar with the area, being slightly out of the centre of Zell am See means that for many things you'll need to take the (free) bus/small local train: c. 10 minute journey every c. half hour. e.g. there is one cable car within walking distance but the ones to further up the mountain are all from near Zell am See train station or further up the valley. Same with ferries - almost all go from the centre. Felt some things could have been slightly better organised: I arrived early and wanted to get the Summer Card early so I could do some activity on my arrival day. It took about half an hour to sort this out because there was a problem with their computer system. To be fair, they did then kindly let me check in half an hour early. However if you want to use the card on the arrival day and avoid waiting around, it would probably be better to request this in advance. (My previous hotel even sent the card to me digitally before arriving, so that I could use the mobility ticket part on Salzburg public transport to travel to the hotel. Don't know if this hotel also offers that.) It wasn't super clear regarding arrangements between the two hotels. You check in at the next-door one, as clearly said; however, breakfast was at the next-door hotel Latini the first morning (much better!!) but at the Schutthof itself second morning. No-one told me of the change so I went to the wrong breakfast and then got sent back. Also after checkout I used the luggage storage (very helpful), but the door had been locked by key so the swipe card didn't work. They did sort this as quickly as possible (thank you!) but it of course took a bit of time so I had to run to make my train!

Lovely hotel in a sound location, easy to get too as the bus stop is opposite the front of the train station, a minimal walk from where the bus drops you to the hotel, they serve a great breakfast too be fair,There's cable cars around the corner, the hotel is situated in a beautiful area, I had totally sound views from my room, I booked an extra night as I was that happy with everything, sound, sorted place, would stay again.

I definitely recommend this accommodation. Cozy little hotel with great decor. This hotel serves a wonderful and varied continental breakfast. For those who arrive early in the morning before check-in or who need facilities after skiing on the day of departure (after check-out time), there is a special room at your service with a place to store luggage / personal things, a shower and a toilet. Special thanks for this. Also there is a storage room for ski equipment. Near the hotel there is a bus stop towards the areitXpress and Kaprun ski lifts.

Comfortable room. Very good breakfast. Ski / boot room warm. Just over 300m to Ariet gondola. Ski bus stops just outside for Kaprun or Zell Am See on the lake. Bus depot is 250m from hotel where Line 260 bus departs to Salzburg airport. Zell Am Zee is a very pleasant town to stroll around with loads of restaurants and cafes.

Room was small. Had to take breakfast in Hotel Latini - next door so not a big deal. Hotel located in Zell Zud, Schütthdorff This is the dormitory / commercial area but very clean and tidy. I was quite happy staying here although some might find it lacking in bars, restaurants etc

Staff were excellent and extremely helpful and friendly. Food was mostly good, but well worth the extra for half board to include dinner and breakfast.

Rooms are quite small. Especially for family of 3 sharing.

Short family ski vacation

Staff in the hotel are amazing, really kind and helpful. Hotel is 8min walking from the first ski lift. Hotel have a room to leave your ski equipment. I had a parking in front of the hotel even I went with my car on other places. Kaprun ski area, Zell am See city center, Tauern Spa Therme are 10min drive.

Some rooms could be a little bit noisy since the windows do not have a good sound isolation. Beds also could be better we had a problem with a bed slats.

Location was okay and enough parking spots when arriving by car. Helpful staff. Breakfast was good. We got also these local "summer cards", which provide free access or discounts to certain locations. Something to consider if you spend more time on the area.

There was some ownership changes on-going, so at first we were not able to find out that the check-in happened actually on the another hotel next to this one. Not on major issue though.

The booking was handeled by Hotel Latini, the neigbor. Very nice hotel with a spa in the basement, even a nice swimming pool. Beds not soft. Breakfast very, very nice with a chef making whatever you might like for breakfast.
