Location.

In dire need to modernisation. It felt like walking in to a hotel that hadn’t been renovated in 30years.

The location was excellent & within walking distance of the town center. The staff were also very nice and helpful. The room itself was lovely and the shower was amazing.

The coldness of the entrance lobby / reception area and the breakfast room was horrible. Just too cold. The pool area wasn't particularly clean. The jazquzzi wasn't even filled with water. We didn't stay long there and showered in our room afterwards as the showers were cold. It wasn't a clean area. The hotel needs a complete upgrade / renovation / modernisation. We got a strong musty smell in the hotel too.

The bedroom was not what we expected and seen different online when I booked..the room, first room we got was dirty and beds didnt look clean and made. Their was alot of doors slamming all night and shouting going on out in the halls all night too my daughter was very sick and we had to change rooms and again was not the room.i seen online very old looking furniture did not like it at all . Also no kettle or anything in.the room

The location is good as I was planning to walk to Bon Secours Hospital in the morning for a procedure

The room was worn, furniture marred and damaged, the bed didn’t match the headboard, the bathroom tub-surround was ready to fall off, plastic cups , no water, no refrigerator (didn’t check room amenities online, my fault), no outlet near the bed, there was some constant noise all night long coming from outside, at 7 am slow methodical banging commenced. I’ve travelled a great deal for work and pleasure, this is one of the poorest choices I can recall.

Location perfect. Very reasonably priced. Comfortable room. Stayed here a few times. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Breakfast isn't the best. Not a fan of buffet breakfasts. But that's a personal choice. The overall attention to detail in the decoration through the hotel. The walkway from the carpark could be a bit more inviting, very sterile -a few cushions on the sofas, maybe few pictures on the walls, more plants .

Bedroom exceptionally warm during the night. Beds comfortable

Lovely hotel with old world charm. The outside belies the charm of the interior. Nice bar. Next door to a great Italian restaurant!

The restaurant closed at 21:00. The direct train from Dublin got in at 21:00.

Swimming pool and breakfast were very good. Female breakfast and front desk staff were very polite and helpful.

Room was a bit outdated. Manager/Supervisor at desk was rude and acted as if I were bothering him when I went to ask a question/make a request.

Pool area needs a bit of a clean up and TV’s need more channels / upgrades , no room service for dinner or a mini fridge in the room to keep water cold Also food in the restaurant wasn’t great meat was chewy and poor quality

The Brandon Hotel was well situated near church & shopping. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly & efficient. The Hotel had a show in the conference room in the evening, Celtic Steps, was very entertaining.

Very friendly & helpful staff. The female receptionist(on duty on Sunday 13th July) is a lovely friendly chatty & considerate person.

No bottle of water in the room.

Breakfast was fair however disappointed no fried eggs on offer (had to be asked for)quality was v good!

We always went back to the bar for a relaxing nightcap we arrived back at 12.55 to find the bar already closed very disappointed to say the least!

The location was good

I contacted the hotel to make a request for drinks and strawberry to be in our room when we were to arrive at the hotel, I had told them I would be arriving between 3 and 4 pm. I have told them that it was a surprise for my husband for our anniversary. When we got to the hotel the receptionist said it in front of my husband's there they were trying to ring me to confirm a time but couldn't get me. The surprise was ruined. They said that they would have it sent up straight away. We went up to the room to wait for them to arrive with it. We waited 20 to 25 minutes and they was no sign of anyone coming up. We got sick of waiting and decided to go to the pool. On the way to the pool I went to the reception and told them to cancel the drinks and strawberrys. They said oh the request has been put in and it will be with you shortly. I cancelled it. It was ruined. My husband is on crutches after an operation and needs my assistants to dress and undress and in pervious hotels we stayed in they have a family dressing room or a disabled one. But when we went to use the leisure center we were told that they 2 disabled changing rooms. One in the men's changing room and one in the ladies changing and we would not be able to use them. We asked was their anyway there they could facilitate us and the staff member said you can put a towel around you and walk back to your room with the wet clothes on. There was no way that we were going to do that. This was a big disappointment as we were looking forward to the pool. It was the hottest weekend of the year but the room was very stuffy and the window only opened a small bit. We asked reception for a fan and they said they would put us in the list as they didn't have anymore left. My booking was for room only. We had breakfast which was only ok..it wasn't anything special and all self service. It was very stuffy.

The location was ideal for all the things you'd want to do or see in Tralee. The restaurant/bar was very convenient. The room was exceptional.

We could have used a map of Tralee and what there was to do and see there. The breakfast was mediocre and overpriced.

Breakfast was fabulous couldn't ask for better..Hotel staff were splendid..Got a late checkout even better ...will definitely return very soon as my special needs son loved ever minute of this trip...Thank you all in the Brandon hotel xx
