Clean, pleasant and quiet place to stay, just a little basic.

Host was very welcoming and friendly. Room was very clean and tidy. Lots of variety for continental breakfast and a good attempt to cater to dietary needs. Characterful building.

Messaging from host and Booking.com led us to believe there would be a cooked breakfast on the weekend, however this was not so. Somewhat disappointing. Although the heating was on, the room was cold as the radiator was at the far end of the room. No fresh coffee, only instant in the room and at breakfast, not that nice. Curtains were not lined so let light into the room. New security flood light illuminated the room late at night when other guests returned - although we hadn't noted an extra blind that may have helped.

Clean and warm, rural location, good value.

The place was very clean, our room was warm and the owner was very helpful indeed. We had a great meal in the evening at the Gamekeeper in Old Buckenham. The location was very quiet and peaceful. we travelled for a family funeral.

Really our only criticism would be that there was no fresh coffee - only instant - with breakfast. Maybe not an issue for many people but crucial for us! A pot of real coffee would have made all the difference!

It really felt like home. The breakfast has everything we wanted and more - it was huge!

Great place to stay

The owner, Jackie, is very friendly and welcoming. The B&B was perfect for what we needed, returning from family funeral, it was lovely to be able to relax in the lounge area all together. Rooms were great, comfy beds, all facilities were clean and well presented.

Great!

Such a lovely guest house with great character! The host, Jackie, is so lovely! She was an absolute pleasure to talk too and was so helpful and thoughtful. Plenty of parking, decent breakfast in the morning. Two lovely restaurants around 15 min drive away.

Jackie is lovely but do feel misled over the cooked breakfast not available!

Jackie was very welcoming and the B & B is lovely and clean. Nice terrace to sit and have coffee just out front door. We had a Chinese takeaway on Friday Pm and Jackie quickly found us plates and made sure we had all we needed! Fab shower and everything we needed in the room.

We were disappointed to discover that there is no cooked breakfast available at the weekend. Even though it states that there is! Also states there is a honesty bar but there isn’t! We would have liked a drink with our meal but hadn’t picked anything up when we collected Chinese as our information we had printed off led us to believe there was a bar!

An excellent place to stay, particularly after a long drive!

We liked. the character of the pace. Th lounge area was very comfortable with an excellent television including Sky channels. The pearling is excellent. Jackie was very welcoming and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. She advised us about the local Chinese takeaway (excellent) and laid a table for us to eat at on Saturday evening.

Lovely comfortable and stylish stay

We loved our beautiful stylish room with very comfy Kingsize bed and lush pillows. The shower was nice and powerful with a very nice addition of complimentary shampoo and shower gel. Breakfast was self service continental only but a good selection to choose from. We would definitely recommend The Pelican

Good and not so good.

The room was. very nice and the bed was comfortable.However, there was no cooked breakfast over the weekend as advertised but were told that this was an error on Booking .com who had been informed of this but had not changed their description online. Having a full english breakfast was a treat we were looking forward to ,the continental breakfast was very bland , the cereal was poor ,the rest generally tasteless and overall very disappointing.it was not worth the overall cost. Having said that ,the owner was very friendly and attentive.

Pleasant short stay accommodation but be prepared to travel for food.

Not a great fan of continental type breakfasts and this was no exception. Property was quite pleasing and the rooms were sufficient size to be comfortable and well laid out. Plenty of towels etc for the shower as required. Host was pleasant and good to talk with.

The accommodation is situated in a small village with few amenities and consequently a drive of 5 miles was required to get an evening meal.

The downstairs place was a good place to relax and watch TV. The room was perfectly okay. Good range of cereals.

On an unusually cold and wet August day it was just a little cold, and so we were really in need of a cooked breakfast but it is not served here, which we had not fully appreciated until we got here.
