Pleasant host, convenient and good value for money

We were very lucky to find this guesthouse with it being only 10 mins drive from family. Jackie is a fantastic host right from opening the door to greet us and to saying goodbye the following day. Fabulous double aspect room with everything covered. Extremely clean and welcoming. Breakfast is a buffet style but a fabulous selection with yoghurt pots, cereals, croissants, toasted teacakes and crumpets all available along with the standard toast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and know whoever reads this review will enjoy their stay too. Thankyou Jackie

The only negative was the room was upstairs but Jackie provided help with luggage.

Host was very welcoming and friendly. Room was very clean and tidy. Lots of variety for continental breakfast and a good attempt to cater to dietary needs. Characterful building.

Messaging from host and Booking.com led us to believe there would be a cooked breakfast on the weekend, however this was not so. Somewhat disappointing. Although the heating was on, the room was cold as the radiator was at the far end of the room. No fresh coffee, only instant in the room and at breakfast, not that nice. Curtains were not lined so let light into the room. New security flood light illuminated the room late at night when other guests returned - although we hadn't noted an extra blind that may have helped.
