Rooms good food not good.

Rooms were clean and staff were good

We ate an evening meal and a breakfast. Some of the food was hot ie the potatoes with the evening meal and some was cold. This applied to both meals. We stayed here last in October and the food was fine so not sure what happened this time. We did tell the waitress when we left. Also food is served until 9pm on Sundays according to the menu. But we were told as it was quiet they were shutting the kitchen at 7pm which meant we had to rush. That is really bad. If you put 9pm on the menu that is when you stay open till.

The room was fresh and clean with nice amenities. The staff and new owner were very friendly and had obvious pride in the place. The Lotus themed decor was very interesting and fit with the proximity to Classic Team Lotus. Dinner at the pub was delicious. Many menu choices.

Nice stay but disappointed

Rooms lovely.

Toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet it was also broken. Got charged £50 to have the room for 3 extra hours. 3 breakfast orders were wrong & 1 wasn’t ordered at all so by time the last breakfasts had come out most of the others had been eaten.

Most enjoyable and very good value for money, we plan to return on our next visit to Norwich

The BITH is located in a quiet village around 8 miles outside Norwich with an easy link to the ringroad. Our room ~#3 (all the rooms are outside in a courtyard) was spacious, well equipped & nice and warm when we stepped inside. Our evening meal was excellent with an option to suit every taste, well priced and a good selection of wines by both the bottle and glass. Breakfast was good and cooked to order.

A nespresso coffee machine or similar in the room as I do not drink instant coffee at all nor tea in the morning, although I did notice the tea bags were Tetley so if you do drink tea you will enjoy a decent cup. The pillows on the bed are far too soft for my tatste so I used a couple of cushions from the armchair to firm them up

A lovely stay.

The bedroom was very large with a lovely bathroom. The bed was comfy with a thick duvet . The breakfast was excellent and more than I could eat.

Good location and amazing food! Amazing historic motorsport memorabilia in the pub. A great hangout spot if you have time and are into the local motorsport history. Definitely recommend the place if you plan to drink and dine. Room's clean and roomy.

Staff aren't around during early or late hours. Hot water either ran out or didn't work for the shower. Poor Wi-Fi signals in the room. Sure, the place is more known for the pub, but I'd expect some service.

Had a wonderful stay for two nights. Excellent room, with good facilities, iron, hairdryer, kettle and tea coffee hot chocolate. The bed is very comfortable. Staff amazingly friendly. The food, we had evening meal and 2 breakfasts all exceptional. We had a problem with our tyre pressure being low asked for the nearest garage and a member of staff, a nice young man, got his pressure pump out of his car and sorted them for us, he was really kind and helpful and took the worry out of our stay. Would highly recommend.

Lovely surroundings for a tasty meal outside on a beautiful summer’s evening.

Had to skip breakfast as it wasn’t served until 8am, but it didn’t spoil our day.

Large rooms that were very clean. Friendly, welcoming & accommodating staff. There was a wide choice for breakfast & the food was very good. We only stayed for one night but I would definitely stay at The Bird in Hand again & unreservedly recommend it to others.

We didn't try breakfast but dinner was excellent. Rooms very spacious, bed quite confortable, very clean all round, lots of fluffy towels and nice bedding. Lots of safe parking.

Room was very hot, could not open windows due to flys from adjacent fields. Some fly screens on windows would be a nice addition for a cool evening breeze. Also shower screen was fixed making it very hard to have a bath. A folding one would be better.

Having stayed previously, we booked again for a 2 day stay when returning to the area. We were welcomed back by Jan and Trina and enjoyed great hospitality and fantastic food both days (Thanks Gary!) Food is both generous and very tasty, and the Norfolk breakfast will keep you going all day.

The Perfect place to stay

This place was highly recommended. And now I can see why. The room was beautifully clean and comfortable. We liked the fact there were plenty of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate.the staff were very helpful and alway with a smile. The food is perfectly presented, and plenty of it. We love norfolk, so we will be booking here again.
