The location was exceptional. The view from the room was stunning.

Location is superb. Some steps to navigate so reasonable mobility required, but better than many options in the Old Town. Security was excellent. Main room was large, airy, good air con, comfortable bed, clean, reasonably well-equiped kitchenette (one ring and a microwave so you won't be cooking roast dinner!!). Nice view. WhatsApp comms were adequate, if slow and impersonal.

The bathroom is dreadful. Tiny, (size of a downstairs cloakroom) no window so no light, one low watt strip light over the sink and the only mirror. Very poor ventilation, and hot water that ran out mid-shower. BUT the deal breaker for us was the significant black mold infestation on the bathroom ceiling. For the money involved this just isn't acceptable. Contacted the 'complaints' email provided (I've never seen customer feedback contact info referred to as 'complaints' before?). No reply. We would not have stayed if we had known about this in advance. Nothing else available by the time we had arrived and our money was already taken in full. We expected an apology at least, and a commitment to clean/treat/repaint/repair... but nothing. Other small things - some of the electrical switches/sockets need attention, and sending the electronic registration form when we were already on the flight was irritating as we had to get 'roaming' sorted on the doorstep and submit before entry rides shared etc... a bit lazy really. Would have preferred to express all this privately by email to owner/manager ....
