We had to upgrade for £50 extra to a larger room, which was much cooler and more comfortable.
The standard room that we originally booked was right at the top of the house, it was quite cramped and incredibly hot! Even when the owner bought us a portable fan, it made little difference.
There was a large wedding going on which took over the bar area and was noisy, we wish we had been notified of this prior to our stay.

Comfortable, spacious room and good ensuite
A very hot day and night and the cost of having Air Conditioning is £20 - which seems astronomical. We messaged the owners when we booked, specifically about the air conditioning and we didn’t receive a response. If we’d have known, we wouldn’t have booked. Apparently this is mentioned on Booking.com but it’s certainly not easy to find as the room listing says air conditioning is in the room. We arrived just after 9pm as England kicked off in a World Cup match, so I think attention was elsewhere, but the parking was extremely confusing and the hosts information was conflicting. In the end, we worked it out for ourselves. We just needed a bed for the night before onward travels, and so it probably wasn’t suited to what we needed - it’s probably more suited to a longer term stay if you can work out the on street parking.

The decor in the property is absolutely amazing! My absolute vibe. Steve and Mubi are so welcoming and have such a wonderful set up!! Anything you need from them, they are so helpful and cannot do enough. The bed was sooo comfy. The whole place was quiet and peaceful (apart from the odd disrespectful guest making noises early hours). Very close to all the bars/restaurants.
The only thing i didnt like was there was a smoking area right outside out room on the ground floor and it would come through the windows even when shut and smell our room out. We are not smokers so this was annoying.
There is an option to book the spa privately and I cant imagine how expensive it is to run, but I did find the cost of the spa a little high even for guests so we didnt end up using. Although the inside of the spa is absolutely beautiful i found the outside needs some TLC (was a little messy).
