Wow what an amazing base for exploring Florence! Just two streets back from the Arno, we were able to visit all the places we wanted to on both sides of the river. Comfortable beds, a useful kitchen/diner area and air con made it a very pleasant place to stay for our family of 4. Our host was great and easily contactable. The local neighbourhood was lovely and quiet and there were a number of great cafes, restaurants and gelaterias nearby plus Piazza San Spirito slightly further which offered lots of choice. There was a great supermarket (Conad) a five minute walk away.
The apartment is on the top floor so would probably not be suitable for people with mobility issues or families with pushchairs. The bathroom was narrow so a tight squeeze for our strapping sons.
