Cosy hide away with a view

Very nice location, stunning view and a cosy holiday home with a super friendly welcome. The hosts use regional and ecofriendly materials, the result is a beautiful and cosy hut. The breakfast was rich and delicious. The view over the ocean is amazing and the walkway to the 90 mile beach short and easy.

The hut is a passive house, so there is no additional heating. For us it was only a little bit cold in the morning, but then with the rising sun and boiling water for coffee, it was soon warm enough again.

Peaceful bliss

The view was breath taking, units was comfortable and well thought out, Adam (host) was super welcoming and friendly, breakfast provided as a lovely touch. All and all, a perfect retreat and we will be back!

Absolutely wonderful in a sustainable paradise

An absolutely superb spot with lovely hosts, the view was breathtaking and the breakfast was delicious. Everything about our 'hut' was so well-considered. We'll be back once the sauna is built! Thank you.

I would have said a lamp or other cozy mood-lighting would have been a nice addition, but then we had a power cut and were delivered candles, which were just right!

A perfect spot for a stay in Te Hiku o te Ika.

This is such a sweet secluded place to stay. The views are epic. The hospitality is truly thoughtful. Fridge stocked with eggs, milk, butter, juice as well as honey and jam, and the delivery of fresh bread on the first morning. The linen and beds are clean and super comfy. the bathroom well designed and the shower pressure excellent. There is a mindfulness about showcasing the best of local artisans which was so appreciated.

Unforgettable view from modern self contained cottage

Very comfortable and clean, small but perfectly equipped and stylish. Drop dead beautiful view over Shipwreck Bay. Hosts and family lovely, brought a fresh baked loaf of be rad our first day. Beach nearby and gorgeous. Highly recommend!!!!

The Veiws! The location! Everything about this place was beautiful!!!

The only thing I could suggest is fly screens, as these cabins hold the warmth well 😊but to have the door open to listen to the ocean would have been awesome but there were mosquitoes, but that's only a suggestion. Other than that it was beautiful

Perfect spot for a northland getaway : )

Adam was a fantastic, friendly host who made us feel so welcome. We loved the hut, including its mod cons and all the extra home comforts. The view was spectacular too! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Ahipara : )

Ideal place to wind down in simple luxury.

Hosts Adam and Kelly very welcoming but not intrusive. Outdoor yoga platform and use of mats and gear very much appreciated. Locally sourced and generous breakfast a treat.
