The location was awesome and the views magnificent. Short stroll to beach (bit of a hill but manageable)

Apartment had everything you needed. My bed was a bit hard for me but that's because I prefer soft beds. No BBQ available at the time but not a biggie.

Chilled out room with a view

Great apartment- comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen & a fantastic view. It’s exactly as the photos show. Breakfast on the balcony is something special. Mark & Jane were great / lovely welcome / lots of helpful tips for what to do / prompt replies to any prior communication. & when we could t figure out the TV got it sorted.

Fabulous stay in Doubtless Bay

A perfect view from the little patio for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening or nighttime stargazing! Clean, comfortable room, with all amenities. Very friendly, helpful hosts, Jane and Mark. 10 minute walk downhill to the beach. Close to Cable Bay and Cooper’s Beach and 10 minute drive to Mangonui for good restaurants and a fabulous Art Gallery.

You have to walk back uphill from the beach! Ha ha! For the lower studios, there are stairs so not easy for anyone with physical disabilities.

Great location and views. Comfortable bed and nice linen.

It wasn’t very clean. The lights above the bed had crusty, flaky bits from the corroding metal, the tops of the light switches, microwave, skiting boards and cupboards were dusty/sandy, not from normal dust as the manager tried to tell me, the shower base had some mould and there were lots of black scuffs on the walls and chipped corners of the wardrobe. There were people staying upstairs and every time they went through the top door it slammed shut - day and night. Not their fault. A simple adjustment and better closing mechanism would help. The tennis racquets were very old and only 2 were suitable to use as the others all had too many broken strings.

Magical Stay at Doubtless Bay Villas

We were in # 25, 2 bed villa and our entire stay was magical. The space was modern and spacious. Glorious, stunning views. Luxurious carpet. Super comfortable beds and sofa. The best quality hairdryer I have had at an accommodation. Well stocked kitchen. Seamless checkin and checkout. Very friendly, helpful hosts - recommended a fantastic road trip to Cape Reinga and lent us boogie boards for sand surfing at Te Paki.

Not really anything. If I had to be picky, some of the tennis court equipment could be replaced/ updated.

A very well maintained and managed apartment to stay for a couple of nights

The room has as beautiful seaview as from the photo, which is fascinating. The room is super clean and has all the kitchen facility you could think of. The cookware and utensils are in super good condition and easy to use. The host are very friendly.and guide us clearly on logistics issues.

I would recommend the host to install aircon, esp. In the 2nd bedroom, which turns out to be very hot & stuffy. Night curtains are also preferred than the blinds. It is hard to sleep further after the daybreak which is around 7am these days.

Perfect for the Northlands

Sea front view. Lovely and clean. Check in quick and easy. Provided beach towels and a tried route to Reinga lighthouse with stops on route which we followed one day.

Take food and drinks with you as really no where to eat out close by.

The best stay in the far north!

We had a great stay at Doubtless Bay Villas. We stayed in Room 16 which was very cosy and clean. The view was just beautiful. We regretted we didn't stay there for a bit longer. Mark was very helpful from the very beginning till the end of our stay. A great host. We will definitelly stay there again in the future.
