Great stay in a small beautiful hotel

Lovely peaceful location , the owner made us feel like family and was really friendly and helpful. Arranged our airport transfer . The rooms are clean , well maintained . A mattress topper is available as we found the beds a bit firm for us but this was not a deal breaker. Excellent breakfast . The pool is lovely to chill off in , perfect after a day out . Just 50yrds down the road is a fab little bar that serves food plus ur only 10 minutes walk to Pam’s restaurant. We will be back , you have built a perfect Retreat .

A very comfortable & peaceful environment. The room was spotless, the facilities are well organised & the atmosphere feels cordial & welcoming. What truly sets it apart is a very cooperative Owner & excellent staff—courteous, professional & always ready to assist with a warm smile, ensuring guests feel valued and completely at ease throughout their stay. Breakfast is fantastic and quality & quantity of food is a plentiful. Location is ideal, very near to beach, hardly 10-12 minutes walk.

Very peaceful, jungle setting, clean and tidy, aircon works great, super friendly respectful and helpful staff. Fantastic breakfast topped up as you go, fresh cooked omelette or scrambled eggs included. Pool is nice and cool and clean, free use of comfy beach bikes(10mins easy ride to beautiful quiet beach), modern decent scooter hire 300tb/day! Helmets included. Great bakery and supermarkets close by, big rooms that have large balcony/patios too with drying racks. Owner is fantastic, speaks decent english.

A lovely place to stay and relax.

The Retreat felt like a retreat. It felt secluded and yet when you stepped outside you were a 5 minute bike ride from the beach. The room was spacious and was cleaned every day. Free water and good breakfast and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend staying here.

I liked it all and was very pleased with my choice of accommodation as it added to the holiday experience.

It is now our fourth stay at this hotel, and one of our stays was for around 3 months. We initially booked for a short period, but the place is exceptional. It is a family hotel. The family work so well together - it is joy to experience; and they provide a rare service and unique environment. The place is quiet, clean, private, there is a beautiful way to the beach, the main road of the village is two minutes away, and so you have the option of experiencing the local life, there are outstanding Thai restaurants nearby, as well as highly rated restaurants that offer international version of Thai food. There are excellent cafes nearby, including if you wish to work. There is also a local shop just one minute walk away, and supermarkets only around 15 minutes walk away.

Perfect stay, Great Restaurants (Pams) Near The Hotel and on The Main Street (Master Thai bbq, Sushi), free bikes, Great Host, nice pool, very clean.

The breakfast was supposed to Start at 7.30. Usually it Wasnt ready until 7.45/7.50. No Big Deal but annoying as we were awake from 6 Every Morning thanks to our daughter and had to wait to get the day started. Surrounding Area is heavily pollutedby plastic (like everywhere in Thailand)

Perfect stay

The best hotel during my month trip in Thailand. Everything there was perfect, starting from breakfast (no problem with vegan options), no issues with WIFI, room cleaned each day. The hotel staff was also amazing, if needed anything (motorbike, helping with further transport, advices) they helped me immediately. If I would be in Khao Lak in the future I definitely book it again.

Lovely quiet stay

We loved our 1 night at The retreat It’s cosy and personal, the staff couldn’t do more for us We were picked up from the airport and Mr Op was so accomodating to all of our needs Unfortunately we had to leave to meet friends for our next nights in Khao Lak but Mr Op was happy to drive us to our next hotel

Beautiful, comfortable and super clean!

This was one of our favourite stays in 2 months of travelling Thailand! The room was spotlessly clean and so spacious, the pool was lovely and always clean, we were able to easily rent a motorbike from the lovely man who runs the place and the location was so serene and lovely to come back to at the end of the day.

what a wonderful place! everything was just perfect: the room was large, very clean, great shower, comfortable beds, very friendly staff, a lovely family, so heartwarming and sweet. We didn’t want to leave, it was so great! Also the location is great. and the pool is lovely, warm and relaxing. the whole place just looks beautiful and it sends out happy vibes. We hope to one day return!

My best stay in Thailand so far, even if I did have to quarantine for 1 day waiting for my test results, I couldn’t have picked a better place to wait. Mr op (sorry if I spell incorrect) was the best host and very helpful/friendly, he went out of his way to accommodate and make you feel at home. The pool is calm and relaxing with jacuzzi function. The room was big and clean. The bathroom was nice with a good overhead shower. AC was good. I would love to go back.

Decently located and great value for money for those seeking a stop over in Khao Lak for one or two nights. Very friendly staff and the owner even prepared a delicious breakfast free of charge. I would definitely recommend.

The location can be a little tricky to find, but with GPS there shouldn't be any major issues.
