Very cozy Resort in the Dschungel. The owners are a lovely Family from Europe and were very helpful in and kind of way!
We loved the crazy sound of the Jungle in the Morning and the few from the room! Not luxury but comfortable and very Special Location.
Thank you for four beautiful days and your help! We will come back one day.

Long walk to the beach but the owner gave us a Lift to and from the Beach :)

Initial unclear communication but the staff was ultimately responsive

Very nice owner, the surrounding really beautiful,
Very close to the amazing beach.
Poor breakfast choice, poor restaurant and closing 20:00, Lack of proper cofee machine, not too comfortable matraces

Staff were helpful and easy to contact before arrival, even organised trips for us. Good AC and Wifi
The bed was very hard and there was gaps in the doors allowing mosquitos to get in. The walls were also quite thin (you could hear crickets outside). Also had a couple geckos in the room which can be common but just something to note. It is down a lane which did feel unsafe particularly at night especially for female travellers.

The architecture and landscaping of the resort was beautiful, heaps of foliage, natural materials and a beautiful pool. The room was so good only thing I wish we had was a clothes rack with some hangers
At the start we found the location a bit isolating as it's a bit far out of the main town and about 2 km from the beach but once we rented a bike everything changed and we appreciated the location so much more for its tranquility and quiet.

Peaceful location in nature, beautiful hotel, good facilities and amenities, and helpful staff. I would stay here again.
A bit more remote location, so it's difficult to move around without your own vehicle.

For a family of four heading up the coast from Phuket airport it was a great find. We had a 2 night stay. Before heading to Khoa sok (Arts River Lodge)
Easy checking in.
Large spacious family room with a fridge and cool water in there (fresh). 07:30 breakfast, there’s cereals and cooked option (you have to be patient as this is cooked from fresh) however the seating area is so tranquil (enjoy the plants, there’s fish near the reception.
The ‘8 fish beach’ was fantastic for our sons who played non stop in the waves.
The nigh time the juggle noise was amazing.
We were advised to visit the night market in the village on the Saturday evening starting around 4. Was great to do after the beach.
The following day we visited the Elephant conservation (This place is 100%) worth visiting. The elephants are so welcoming and the key workers they have are really sweet. It’s a never to forget moment! We made protein balls and walked up with a basket, the whole experience was incredible.
We went up the coast to khuet Khak where we parked our car and walked out paddle boards down and had a beautiful meal at Rim lay and they laundered our clothes. We only wanted them washed and not dried and by the time we paddled boarded the bay our clothes were ready.
This little area has a relaxed feel and sweet engaging locals.
Yes highly recommend the eco lodge! *****
There could have been heavier mosquito spray in the room before guests.
There was no netting in the rooms and there was mosquito in the room wanting snacks!
It’s very warm so sleeping with blankets to stop mosquitoes was a challenge.
So either “deet up” or bring some mosquito coils (these worked amazingly in the jungle lodges)

The room was very unique - like a little hobbit house in a beautiful garden. We really liked the layout of the room, which had plenty of space and a little patio in the front.
There was nothing we didn't like. We had to watch for the step down to the bathroom area, but that was OK. The pool was nice, but in front of other rooms, so we weren't sure if we could use it, but found out later that it was open to everyone.

Remote, quiet resort. Lovely plants, swimming pool, good breakfast, nice staff.
Hard to get to, you need a taxi or rent a car/motorbike.

[This review continues in the next section] Firstly let me say this poor review has nothing to do with the lovely Thai staff who were incredibly helpful, friendly and not at all at fault (the owner was actually away overseas at the time of our stay and had to be called multiple times to resolve various issues).
I’m not sure what the other rooms were like, but the “deluxe 2br villa” we stayed in was quite overpriced for what it was, and I would definitely not recommend staying here. The only good thing that can be said is it was spacious. It’s a shame the majority of that space was unusable due to no airconditioning making it around a sweltering and unbearable 40 degrees (104 Fahrenheit) throughout the day. Despite being listed as an airconditioned villa, the only aircon was a single, inadequate wall unit in the bedrooms at the back which was mounted in a hole cut through the shared wall, half sticking out in each room. Also, due to the lack of s-bends in the plumbing and the extreme heat, the bathroom reeked of sewage.
The photos on the booking.com website for the 2br deluxe villa are four years old and really need to be updated, as does the inclusions list. Differences include: there is only a half-sized fridge, no toaster and no microwave in the kitchen, only a gas cooktop, both burners with broken ignition requiring very dangerous manual ignition with a regular lighter resulting in singed fingers; the TV is not in the common area, it is ceiling mounted in one of the bedrooms and wouldn’t turn on displaying a constant ‘check signal’ error; rather than nice decorations on the shelving, a box of rat poison was featured alluding to the major mouse/rat problem in the villa—we could hear them scurrying around in the ceiling and there were droppings all over the kitchen; I’m not too sure what the listed ‘terrace’ would have been either. The photos also do not give an accurate depiction of the free breakfast, as it was not much more than you’d get at a hostel.
Some important things the photos don’t show are that two entire walls and the sliding front entrance door (which jammed constantly and didn’t close properly with a large gap at the top) in the main living, dining, and kitchen space were just fly screens, many with holes and gaps where mosquitoes, bugs and geckoes (the only creature I didn’t mind sharing my room with) came in and out as they pleased. We had to cover ourselves head to toe with insect repellant and were still eaten alive by mozzies even while sleeping. The fact that there are no glass windows and the curtains only cover half the screened walls, means there was zero privacy in sight, sound or smell. Despite promoting itself as a no smoking property, there were constantly people smoking just outside the room (even in the common area during breakfast) with the smell and smoke coming straight in through the screens. This was a major issue as one of us suffers from an autoimmune condition exacerbated by cigarette smoke and to stress how important this was, we had specifically asked for a non-smoking room in the special requests.
These are all things one might expect from a much cheaper, budget place to stay, of which there are a multitude in Thailand! Needless to say, we were almost relieved when we were forced to cut our stay short and return to Australia due to the virus despite having paid for 4 unused nights at this property. I sure hope both booking.com as well as Khao Lak Relax Resort amends their listing appropriately to avoid future guests having stays as unpleasant as ours was!

Vi havde 4 nætter her med vores to børn.
