Lovely stay

We loved our stay! Room and all the premises were spotlesly clean and in a really good condition and the owners Weena and Nem were so so nice and welcoming. Breakfast was good, you get beach towels from hotel and you can also hire a motorbike from the hotel in a good price. Would definetly choose this hotel again if staying in Bang Niang area. We have stayed in a 5 star hotel (JW Marriot) and Baramate is in a much better condition and room was much cleaner. If you don't want a big resort or don't need a swimming pool and prefer a personal super friendly service, then this is your kind of place.

Exceptional hospitality in a spotlessly clean, family-run hotel.

The couple who own Baramate are exceptionally hospitable and made us feel very welcome. The hotel, which has five rooms, was immaculately clean, spacious, and well laid out. Our rooms were cleaned daily and we were routinely provided with fresh towels. There is a nice breakfast buffet available between 7 and 10. The owners could not do enough to help us during our stay. They arranged transportation, a boat tour, and laundry. The hotel is located on a relatively quiet side road, with the main shops, restaurants, and beaches just a short walk away. It would be difficult to find a friendlier or more welcoming 2-star hotel anywhere.

The extractor fan in our ensuite bathroom drew up an unpleasant odour from the drains.

Amazing hotel and hosts go above and beyond

The owners man and wife are totally amazing and cannot do enough for you. Rooms are the cleanest ever seen and I've stayed in many 5* around the world. Breakfast is great with good selection. Organised airport pickup and drop off sorted day trips at amazing prices.. rooms have fresh bottled water free each day. Maid service EVERY day with clean towels and bedding every day too. Great location 6min walk from bars and restaurants and no more than 10 min from beach .Friendly and welcoming. felt better than home from home. We stayed 10th dec-26th Dec 2025. We will return

Great Place to Stay! The hosts Veena and Shana were lovely people and very hospitable and helpful. Felt like home during our stay. Close to Bang Niang Market and Beach with may restaurants and 7 Eleven also in walking distance. Nang thong beach is 6 mins away on scooter. They also rent out bikes at a better rate than others. The place was super clean and was very well arranged when we entered the room. You can get your room cleaned if you are staying for longer. Their Breakfast was a highlight. Veena had made a banana cake which was yummyyy and she let us take some when we checked out!

The only place I will be staying in the future in Khao Lak!

Why stay in a resort when you can stay here! the staff and owners were so incredible. We felt so welcomed from the moment we got here. 2 mins to a 7/11 and 10 mins walk to the beach, with restaurants and bars a 5 min walk, which is great because you don’t hear the music etc. from the hotel but you can walk to a busy area within minutes. I can’t recommend this place enough, and thank you Mrs. Weena and your husband for the amazing hospitality you provided.

Nothing. There wasn’t a pool which might put some people off, but when the sea is less than a 10 minute walk, you don’t need a pool!

Perfect stay for a cheap price with a comfy room and a wonderful and fresh breakfast

Excellent stay. The owner is very welcoming and the breakfast is freshly prepared with fruit and vegetable, eggs cooked as you like. The room is very comfortable and enough space for suitcases plus a big cupboard.

Everything about our stay at Baramate was incredible! We were in Khao Lak for one night before heading to the Similan Islands for a dive trip. The owner of Baramate greeted us at the door upon our arrival and were so hospitable during our entire stay. They even packed us breakfasts to go in the morning as they know that the pick-up time to go to the dive boat is usually really early and guests don't usually find the time to have breakfast. They had sandwiches, fruits, juice and water all prepared and ready to go. It was so nice to know that we were in good hands!! Would 100% recommend this place - if you're in Khao Lak, stay at Baramate. You won't find service like this anywhere else. I'm looking forward to our return for our next dive trip and will definitely be staying here again.

Everything was perfect! Very new building, super clean and comfortable, huge room with nice bathroom. And on top of it outstanding breakfast! :) the hosts make you feel like at home, when we were leaving we felt like we are saying goodbye to family. We can only recommend this place :)

extraordinary good stay

We loved our stay and can highly recommend the accommodation. Owners are incredibly kind and helpful. Everything is new and clean and the hotel is perfectly located. You can reach center and many restaurants by walk in few minutes. All services are offered directly by the hotel at fair prices. Laundry, Motorbikes, Taxi, Tours etc.. You will also be surprised about the tiles on the balcony :)

One of my best stays in Thailand

I LOVED Baramate. The house is beautiful. Everything feels very new, modern and tastefully designed. The rooms are a very generous size, much bigger than some 4* hotels I've experienced in Europe and the US. The double bed is huge and comfortable, the AC works well, there's a big fridge and the smart TV has a great selection of channels and apps. Each room has a balcony and I loved that there's a fly screen, so you can actually get some fresh air into the room without being bitten. The shower pressure is great. I needed to work from here for a few days and the WiFi works very well, with plenty of space to work in the room. The breakfast is varied and delicious and the whole place is spotless - the hosts told me I could wear my flip flops inside but I didn't want to as it's so clean! I loved the location too - 2 mins from the main road but very quiet. 15 mins walk to the beach, 2 mins to the 7-11 and minutes to other local shops and restaurants. And finally the hosts are wonderful, so welcoming, kind and helpful with anything you might need. No wonder Baramate rates so highly, it's fantastic and brilliant value for the quality! It's my new go-to whenever in the Khao Lak area. Stay here!

Breakfast was delicious, there were so many choices of food in which we really enjoyed. The room is very specious and extremely cleen. I definitely recommend this place!
