Steep Paths

Arezzo is a Tuscan hill town, a far steeper one, I must point out, than Siena. This excellent lodging (there’s only a concierge in the morning) is located at the top, around the corner from the duomo, which means that to go to most other places of interest besides the cathedral you have to go down, which means to come back you have go uphill. Sometimes from Piazza San Francesco (the church having the stunning Baci Chapel with Piero della Francesco’s wall paintings) I would have to take a taxi to make it to my room. There are plenty of fine restaurants and bars on this square, so you will be there for other reasons than because it is where some of the greatest art anywhere in Europe is housed. Would it not make sense to get a hotel somewhere below, since you would only go way up to the duomo once, maybe not twice, during your visit to this jewel of a fine small city? If I could tell you it’s really quiet up on top, I would, but there are throngs of school children being taken to the duomo, and they pass under your window, possibly open at a pleasant season, and the lobby is very small, so if people are talking in it, the sound goes through your door. It may be much noisier living below: I don’t know. The hot water and the bed were, both of them, perfectly comfortable. The wi-fi was fine and free. The two members of the staff are delightful people.

Great B&B

Location: this B&B is located in the hearth of the city. If you are coming with a car you can park at “Parcheggio Pietri” and walk 5 min to the structure. Communication: we had an excellent communication with the owner about our arrival time and check in process was smooth. He give us all necessary information about the city and the restaurants. He let us leave our suitcases in the structure even after we did check out and I can say he was super kind and dedicated to all of his costumers needs. Room: we had first room at the entrance. The room was very spacious, equipped with all necessary amenities. Room didn’t have AC but ventilator, but given the fact that the building has thick walls basically we didn’t need an AC even if it was August.

Arezzo una vera sorpresa, bella e attrattiva, ci è piaciuta tantissimo.

Professionalità e disponibilità del sig. Giulio che ci ha accolti come fossimo vecchi amici, mettendoci subito a nostro agio, dimostrandosi una persona molto empatica.

La stanza è accogliente e pulita. Si trova in prossimità del centro storico. Giulio che ci ha accolti è stato gentilissimo nel darci indicazioni su cose da fare e da vedere. C'è il parcheggio Pietri alquanto vicino e gratuito. Siamo stati molto bene.

Appartamento in centro, Giulio molto disponibile, siamo arrivati con le moto nel parcheggio sotto casa oltrepassando la ztl dietro le indicazioni del proprietario. Vicinissimo ai locali e alle piazze principali

Un soggiorno da sogno e super riposante

Ho soggiornato presso la struttura del Sig. Giulio dal 10 al 14 giugno e qui ho trovato gentilezza e discrezione. In particolare vorrei ringraziare Giulio: trovare persone così disponibili e gentili è veramente difficile e sono molto molto contento di averlo conosciuto e spero di tornare presto ad Arezzo nella sua struttura e per vedere di nuovo questa favolosa città!!
