Averon B&B is as close as you can come to having a real scottish experiance! Charms, history, hospitality and cozyness combined with an incredibly accomodating and friendly host. The Host offers lovely breakfast at time of choice, lots of fresh fruit every day, even the possibility to make yourself sandwiches and grab some fruit for your day trip. The Rooms (we were allowed to choose!) are very comfortable and cozy. Rooms come with their own bathroom, water kettle, a selection of coffee, teas and bisquits. Extra Blankets and even warm coats are offered if needed. The stay here gave our trip a real *scottland feeling*. Thank you much, Sergio! We recommend highly and will surely be back!

The host is by far the best thing about this place. A true gentleman, friendly and extremely helpful, with always a good story to tell - we especially appreciated him driving us into town to collect our hire car as we were running quite late. The house is old and full of character, certainly not your minimalist and sterile chain hotel, but we liked it as it is. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable (although I am no longer used to old spring beds so some adjustments were needed, to avoid waking the wife at every turn). Nice breakfast of home cooked porridge, fruit, toast and jam and, although we didn't take advantage of it, it was nice to have the option to make your own cheese sandwich to take with you.
Sadly it was quite cold in the room - especially the first day or two. The radiators were hot downstairs in the breakfast room /lounge but barely lukewarm upstairs, so possibly a plumbing issue. The other guests asked for an electric heater, we resorted to blowing hot air under the bedcovers with the hairdryer to keep warm. A shower head holder would have been useful in the bath tub instead of having to hand hold the shower head. Being picky, coffee was a touch weak and it would have been good to have eggs or other cooked options for breakfast, but not a biggie.

Sergio was just so welcoming and helpful in all aspects. He truly wanted to make our 2 night visit enjoyable. The property is in easy walking distance of the centre and parking is available on the street.
When we had a bit of clothing mishap, Sergio was kind to offer to wash the item for us. There are many breakfast options offered, though you best be up bright and early!
The bed was a bit too soft for me personally but had plenty of blankets and comfortable linens.

The host, Sergio, is the most kind, generous, and friendly person. A genuine human being that treats every guest as though we are family. Parking is on the street and there's a parking pass provided. Location is overall top notch, we were able to walk into the city with ease. Breakfast homemade and delicious. I recommend wholeheartedly.
The home is filled with small treasures from all over the world... breakfast nook is a bit cramped but it's part of the charm. I actually enjoyed it but it may not be for everyone... I genuinely felt like I was visiting my uncle.

NIce quaint B&B close to cafes, pubs and tourist venues. Sergio was very pleasant and helpful, could not do enough for you. Breakfast was plentiful with a number of choices. Even has provisions for you to make a packed lunch if you wished.
Not much to not like, just very steep stairs to the rooms. And remember it's a very old house 🙂

This is very close to the centre of town. Our stay was most comfortable including a wide spread for breakfast. A specia l word for Sergio, the owner who runs the place . He is a wonderful warm person who makes you feel at home.

It had such a beautiful old world charm to it. Sergio was a wonderful, warm and kind host who made us feel at home and cooked delicious porridge for breakfast and we were very impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of the house and room :)

Well what a lovely quirky house , the room was spacious mabye a bit cluttered but felt very homely. The bed was very comfy no trouble sleeping , there was tea and coffee with various different kind of biscuits. The host Sergio what a great guy couldn't have been more accommodating if he tried, made us feel very welcome and laid on a fantastic breakfast. Location was perfect only a 10 minute walk into centre of Inverness also 2 very nice bars literally next door if you couldn't be bothered walking very far.Would definitely recommend this B&B.
If im being picky the room we where in didn't have an electric shower but we managed.

Sergio is a very generous host. He makes a great breakfast and then encouraged us to take some bits and bobs for the road each day. The location is really great, but be aware that it is uphill on the way back. We opted for a taxi home each night due to my husband's mobility issues, but we did not have a hard time walking into town each day. Also be aware the bedrooms are up a narrow staircase. As others have mentioned, this is a quirky historical property, and there are lots of nicknacks, but they aren't a hindrance to navigating the house. It was a great stay and a great value for the money.
Nothing.

Such charm and character at Averon House it's a treasure trove similar to walking into a lovely curiosity shop!
Besides the character the breakfast is so tasty and filling with the host Sergio friendly and accommodating who takes you in like a family member, dram of whiskey and all. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with reliable hot water and everything needed for a good nights sleep.
We stayed only for one night in April before we started our campervan adventure but would have gladly stayed for longer. Inverness centre is within walking distance for sight seeing etc.

Our Host Sergio was a true gentleman. He was very pleasant and attentive to all of our needs without being intrusive. He is a great ambassador for Inverness.
Unfortunately the bed needs replacing and the shower could be updated with some modern fixtures to fit with the overall style of the house.

The owner was extremely attentive and went out of his way to make me an amazing packed breakfast on the first morning, because I had to go out early. He seemed to really enjoy talking to his guests. Breakfasts were great, as was the location and cleanliness.
We had understood that our room would contain a queen-sized bed (to fit my very tall husband). However, the bed was only a double. Nonetheless, the owner was extremely apologetic and ensured that everything else was comfortable. (I think he realised that he had made an error in his advertising). The only reason we rated this accommodation as an 8, rather than a 9-10, was due to the bed. If you’re not fussed about the bed size, then it’s not an issue!

Sergio is a lovely host, who clearly likes to take care of people. Whether you'd like a dram or some herbal tea: Sergio has it. His house has lots of little trinkets (which I suspect each house their own story) but is still immaculate. We loved staying here so much that we did not want to leave. Thank you Sergio for everything!

Such a lovely welcoming host and a lovely place to stay! Breakfast was absolutely incredible and the host went above and beyond to make sure we have everything we might need. The place was very clean and had a certain charm I cannot quite explain with words. Location is perfect too - 5 min from town centre but in a quiet street.
While the host made sure we can check in even before 4pm and said it’s fine to check out after 10am so we can take our time - that wasn’t too well communicated beforehand. Had we known this is an option we would have planned our day slightly differently. Still, absolutely incredible how flexible he is!

We spent 3 days with Sergio, it was our first stay in Scotland. We wanted authenticity and we found it with our host. His house is old and full of history, far from the hotel rooms of the big impersonal chains. The breakfast is prepared according to our wishes and it is typically Scottish!
The room fully met our expectations and we slept very well there.
Sergio is an exceptional host, very kind, very available and with a very beautiful philosophy of life. It was a very nice meeting, a wonderful memory for us. Thanks again Sergio!

I could park my car. The host was very thoughtful and a great character. The bed was super comfy. I enjoyed that it felt homely and it was very close to the centre. Breakfast was everything and more . I had scrambled eggs, a buttery, soft blueberries, toast, a cafeteria of coffee and orange juice. I think he knew I needed feeding to run the half marathon!
Just needed a bigger bath plug!
