A cosy, welcoming cottage, nice and warm in cold weather.

We wanted something cosy, and that's what we got. It was a lovely cottage, very homely, well equipped, lots of instructions that were easy to follow. The lounge room and bedrooms were very comfortable. The house was spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Could be improved by providing towels, which is a problem for overseas visitors. The garage is suitable for a very small car -- we struggled to get ours (a compact SUV) in it, but most of the time there was nearby street parking.

Absolutely ridiculous to have no towels…..not listed on website I was told/ who looks at that when booking through booking.com? No mention that a bath mat was supplied but it was !!!!! Shower was either boiling or cold so had to report to baths/it was impossible to balance

Cottage was outstanding, well equipped with quality items throughout. Beds were comfortable and shower was excellent.

Great place, lovely area, interesting town and perfect for a walking break.

Lovely property and location, with everything you would need for a walking holiday provided, but it also felt like home.

Nothing to complain about, all I would say is that the decor is in need of a refresh, the gloss in particular.

a little disappointing given the price that no towels or shampoo and the place needs some work...

location was excellent and very basic facilities were available but thats all.

No Towels, how can a place you stay not provide towels!!! No net curtain, people can see through all the windows!! Address is wrong, states stockgyll court when there is no road called stockgyll court, instead stockgyll brow would be better. Smells of old people, do disrespect to the owners but its the first thing that hits you as you walk in. Shampoo, £500 and no shampoo...

Nice area. Ambleside is a lovely town with good eating places. The house was within a quiet location. Beds were comfortable.

There were no towels provided so we had to use the two tea towels from the kitchen between 4 adults to dry ourselves. Eventually bought 2 camping towels which were expensive. Can't understand the thinking behind not providing towels.

Cozy and clean house

The house was very clean, comfortable and fully equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay, which was important for us. It's location next to the waterfalls made it exceptional. Very good for up to 5 people! Would definitely come back! Very good price for the area.

Communication prior to our arrival wasn't great. I texted the property through booking but they never got back to me. No towels, or bath products.

Perfect location, comfortable beds, quality furnishings, lots of walking maps & books to borrow/use as well as a tonne of CDs and DVDs. Definitely will return.

Location excellent. Only a short walk to centre.

Parking in garage extremely tight and I have a medium sized car. Not sure a larger vehicle would be able to park.
