Palazzo de' Vecchi

You’re staying in a private residence with the owner owners and they took exceptional care of us. The room was enormous with a gorgeous bathroom and all the snacks and beverages you could need. The breakfast was special as were the host suggestions on what to do given our overnight day and half-day visit in sienna. I wished we had an extra day there however we were traveling and limited on time.

Everything - the location, the building, the room, the breakfasts and most importantly the hosts where wonderful. We felt especially privileged to have had the chance to stay here. We would highly recommend it to anyone interested in having a wonderful time in Siena

Nothing - everything was wonderful

This is a once in a lifetime experience. This unique and historic B and B will take your breath away and our hosts Flaviano and Francesca shared, not only their home, but their love for and the history of their hometown -Siena Our stay was a dream from beginning to end When we arrived in Siena our Hosts enthusiastically greeted us from the upstairs window, then they whisked us upstairs to the breathtaking medieval palace we would be guests at for the next 5 days. The hand painted ceilings, frescos and antique furniture had us feeling like royalty during our stay. We started each day in the exquisite dining room with our hostess preparing a gourmet breakfast buffet. The meal was carefully curated and presented with a Tuscan flourish -fresh cut pineapple,pears and cantaloupe, homemade cakes and omelets to order. One morning Francesca included fresh artichoke hearts -amazing. Her cappuccinos were so delicious and the best way to start a day of site seeing. The location of Palazzo de Vecchi is “perfetto” The heart of Siena, The Piazza del Campo was a short block away. In addition, we were a within walking distance to the Duomo, restaurants and shopping. Our hosts recommended several restaurants and we enjoyed true Tuscan meals that were unrivaled during our time in Italy. It was also a convenient location to book a wine tour to the Brunello region of Tuscany. We will definitely include Palazzo de Vecchi and our new friends Flavio and Francesca when planning our next trip to Tuscany.

Nothing it was a perfect stay!

Location was excellent and breakfast was great. My only word of caution will be to seniors with mobility problems, there are seven steps to the bedroom and then 2 more steps to the bathroom and 3 more at least 29 inches steps to the toilet. We managed and did not complain because Francesca and her husband were super hosts and made up for any deficiencies. I f you don’t have mobility problems I would highly recommend it.
