Snowy Paris

Location was excellent being close to Metro Station Goncourt, having a washing machine was handy, with a convenient laundromat around the corner for drying (€1 for 8 mins), great for 2 Adults but 2 + 1 teenager was a bit cosy for us. It was warm and secure, and close to a local super market for self catering.

We would have liked info on tv, ( yes, someone previous to us stole the remote), hot water (really a small tank for 3 persons), and there could be an update in kitchen utensils. A nice touch would have been to provide some coffee pods and laundry powder, enough for 1 day or 1 wash.

What I liked about the property: the location! it was in a nice neighborhood, very central, friendly, lively, and had a good vibe.

What I didn’t like: it wasn’t very clean, and the space felt tight and small. They provided very little toilet paper. There were two flights of stairs, which was quite difficult for us as we had a stroller. Overall, it was very average.

Beds and location

Leaking cistern on toilet, wallpapers came of the wall in several places, the sofa looked really dirty, the coffee machine did not work.

The location was excellent and the area was typical of what you expect Paris to look like. There were lots of halal food options in the area and it was 5 metres to the nearest metro.

The size was smaller than I expected but it was adequate as we didnt plan to spend much time in the apartment.

Nice place, good position, needs some improvements

Good position, nice owners, very close to the subway entrance, close to supermarkets, restaurants and other facilities, a little but very functional kitchen, easy to talk to the owners if you need information

Cleaning could be better, plaster on walls needs adjustments, shower drain is slow, poorly supplied (too few cutlery in the kitchen drawers, no salt, no broom), couldn't see TV channels (this was not a problem for us, but if TV is included I would expect it to be usable). All in all we could say that price is a little too much for the value

pleasant stay

Pretty spacious place with a bed and sofa bed as stated. The kitchen was also well equipped for simple meals. Bath towels were also provided. Very glad that the door had an extra metal lock in addition to the usual door lock which made us feel very safe. Host was responsive to us as well!

Bathroom was a bit smaller than expected but everything is working well. Slight dim room and could hear some water system from next door during night time. There was a party from neighbour so noise can be heard 😅 but apart from that, streets noise was absent even though we stayed just one level above ground level!

very convenient location with metro in front of door step, many restaurants, supermarkets etc. apartment is small but ok by Paris standard.

only had 1 mirror in the whole 2 bedroom apartment, heating was not working all 3 nights. informed host - but the following night heating was still not working. hot shower takes a long time to fill up after basic shower by 2-3 persons. kitchen can be better equipped. no knife - there was only a bread knife to use. no chopping board. no pan only pots. so cooking was a bit challenging with the limitation, we made do with what we had.

Good stay, good basic and clean apartment, no problem in staying there again :)

The location of this this apartment was great, with a subway station just outside the door (Goncourt) so, it was very easy to use the subway to go everywhere in Paris. It has no lift, which can be a no go to some. The apartment itself was very clean, well equipped kitchen and with a couple of convenience stores nearby, so its possible to buy whatever you need to make a meal. By the way, if you like pizza, you have nearby "Marcus Pizze Amore": great!

The location was very good.

On entry it smelt very musty in the apartment. The advertised photos make it seem bright, big and airy, but actually it was very small. The bathroom was tiny therefore, if you are tall and on the larger side you could not sit on the toilet comfortably at all. Also in the bathroom it needs to be updated as there was lots of dry mould and stained mirror. The steps to the bathroom and balcony also extremely dangerous. Lastly, as there was a bar on the ground floor it was quite noisy all night. I would not be staying at this accommodation as it was priced too high considering lack of sleep and small facilities.

The apartment has everything you need, very clean, in proximity you will find stores, boulangeries, pharmacy, etc. The best thing is that right in front of the apartment is Goncourt metro station, so is very easy to go everywher in Paris. It has a nice balcony where you can drink your cofee in the morning.

The location is perfect. The metro station is in front of the house. The apartman is clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. We are four and have enough place. The host is also kind and helpful. We had a great time!

I honestly have pretty low expectations of Paris properties but this one is exceptionally bad. I am writing this review

- The Goncourt Metro entrance is literally in front off the front door - Cute feminine decor (pink) and recent update. -Nice balcony - Water pressure is good - 2nd floor location, which means you only have to deal with one flight of steep, rickety stairs. - Close to restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores.

- It is not a one bedroom. It is a studio with a pocket door for the queen sized bed. The futon can only fit one person which means the unit fits 3 comfortably not 4. - The air conditioning does not work. The owner took about 3 days to respond to my request and the repairman said he cannot fix it (fuse box issue). They gave us a small fan. This means either we bear with the heat or bear with the loud noise coming from the busy street. - The noise from the street is loud and goes on all night. Other than the noise coming from the restaurant below (singing, laughing) it’s also close to a hospital so you will hear ambulance sirens constantly. In addition, you can hear the front door slamming shut and people going up and down the stairs from your unit. Sleep is impossible. - Trash is not collected. You are expected to just let it accumulate until the end of your stay. - The toilet is small and the toilet seat is broken. There is also no exhaust system. - The WiFi is not dependable. - Lack of communication: the housekeeper does not speak English. The owner does not respond to messages immediately. - There is a flashing billboard sign outside the window. - Be careful not to step over the “doorman”. There is a drunk guy who hangs out on the front step in the evening.

Convenient, small but functional space with balcony; good kitchen area with clothes washer.

Very convenient to the METRO, just steps from the front door. Bus stop is also right there. Grocery store steps away, as well as many bakeries very close by. Overall the space was very clean. The bed itself was comfortable with a good selection of pillows, however, the size of the bedroom was so small that one side of the bed had to be directly pushed into the wall. This made getting in and out of bed for the person on the left side a bit more difficult; though not terrible. Just something to note. Also, there is really not much space in the bedroom at all, the bed and closet take up almost the entire room. Cozy!

The bathroom, though it has everything you need and the shower is good, is a very tiny space. It also has 2 steps that lead up to it. The toilet is so close to the wall that you almost have to sit sideways a bit. Your knees will hit the wall if you are over 5"8" or so. Also, there is no plug for the hairdryer in the bathroom. The closest plug is in the wall outside the bathroom, down the 2 steps. The cord is long enough so that you can use the bathroom mirror while drying your hair, but not quite long enough to make the whole process easy. In the kitchen it would have been nice to have a few essentials like oil, pepper (there was salt), a dishwashing sponge, more than one towel.
