The Restalrig Apartment

Fantastic apartment, I highly recommend it. The first thing I would highlight is that the apartment is equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need — literally everything. From the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathroom, every single detail has been thoughtfully considered. Dishes, cutlery, tea, coffee, detergent, paper towels — everything is already there waiting for you. The apartment itself is exceptionally clean, and that is something you notice immediately upon entering. I would truly emphasize cleanliness as one of the biggest strengths of this accommodation. The apartment is also beautifully and stylishly decorated, which makes the stay much more pleasant compared to a typical impersonal hotel apartment. You can regulate the temperature in the apartment yourself, which is another great advantage and makes the stay very comfortable and pleasant. The internet connection is also excellent, fast and reliable, and Netflix is available as well, which is a really nice bonus after a long day exploring the city. Susan, the owner, is extremely kind and very responsive. It is easy to get in touch with her, and she is always ready to help with anything you may need. The location is also excellent. The apartment is not in the busy city center, which is actually a big advantage because the area is peaceful and pleasant. The center of Edinburgh is about a 20–25 minute walk away, which personally I found very enjoyable. For those who prefer not to walk, Bus number 19 stops right across the street from the building and goes directly to the city center. The same bus also stops right outside the building on the way back. There is a bakery and a grocery store directly across the street, making it very easy to get anything you need. There is also an authentic Scottish pub nearby, which adds even more to the local experience. Parking is available in front of the building, free. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I visit Edinburgh.

The property was spotlessly clean and very cosy with everything supplied that was necessary and more. I would have no hesitation in recommending the property. The host has gone to great lengths to make everything practical yet welcoming and cosy.

Pre-arrival communication and information about the property from the owner were excellent. Flat was clean, modern, and well equipped. Easy access to public transport and quiet location. Flat was only 1 mile from the Holyrood Parkrun so took advantage of its proximity and had a run and kick started the weekend.
