Edinburgh Meadowbank 1-Bedroom Flat

Small but cosy little apartment. Conveniently located near the city centre. Host was lovely, attended to our queries promptly. Some nice touches like drinks and snacks.

Nothing at all.

The apartment is in an excellent position for food shopping and public transport to the city centre. It was clean and had everything we needed.

The owners go above and beyond to make their guest’s stay comfortable.. perhaps a little too much. There was not much space in the bathroom for our own products due to the abundance of used toiletries left behind. The sofa bed took up most of the space in the living room which wasn’t ideal when travelling with 2 young children.

We had a wonderful stay and felt that the hosts had thought of every little detail to make guests feel comfortable. The location is excellent, within walking distance of Holyrood Palace and Arthur's Seat, with plenty of cafés, restaurants and shops nearby. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and kind. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches, including complimentary snacks, bottled water, umbrellas, slippers, toiletries, and even small welcome gifts. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We especially loved the guest information folder, which included recommendations for local attractions, emergency contact numbers, nearby supermarkets, restaurants and other useful information. It was one of the most helpful guidebooks we have ever seen in a holiday rental. We were also very grateful that the hosts allowed us to check in early when the apartment was ready. It made our arrival in Edinburgh much easier.

The only downside was that there was no lighting in the building's entrance or stairwell, making it difficult to get in after dark. The apartment is on the first floor (one flight of stairs), and there is no lift, which may be worth knowing if you are travelling with heavy luggage.

Multimedia and streaming services, bedroom nice, supermarket only 300m away, short way to the Center, very calm.

Missing utensils and some other utilities. Bed very short and not really comfortable. Missing table in the living room. Very dark and scary corridor and very grimy.
