Stylish Newly-Renovated 1BR Flat Near City Centre

Great location and comfortable place

Cosy apartment on the edge of the city centre. Although not exactly central, we found the location excellent: it is a comfortable walk into the city centre and there are great bus connections as well. We loved the peaceful surroundings, easily accessible shops (Meadowbank Shopping Park), high quality interior finishing, comfortable bed and sofa, great bathroom and the keyless access.

The building entrance is anything but cosy (dilapidated and looks abandoned); thankfully the apartment itself is very well finished. Areas for improvement: host could be more attentive (communicative and proactive), kitchen equipment needs attention - no cooking oil, no clingfilm, momentary panic caused by a broken can-opener (neighbour to the rescue!). Most annoying: two of the towels were stained (yuck!).

The apartment is very nice. The kitchen and bathroom appear to have been recently renovated, and the bed was very comfortable; I slept very well all three nights I was there. The key to the building was easy to access and then there was a door code to the apartment, that functioned flawlessly. Communication with the host was easy and timely through the app. I didn't experience any problems during my stay. I appreciated the blackout curtains because sunrise came early in June.

The door to the building doesn't close on its own, and some people don't close it when they're coming in or leaving. A self-closing door would help the feeling of security.

Property is in a prime location . All the attractions are in walkable distance. The area is very calm

Bathroom had bad odour on arrival, have to buy own air freshener. The owner was contacted on arrival as was having trouble in getting in the property , but no answer. No Hot water from yesterday night and no reply for the message.
