A perfect hotel ideal for a professional cat-sitter!

Best people and best view you can get in all of Switzerland.

The people at Hotel Freihof were the nicest I’ve ever met, from the patrons at the bar to the bartender and hotel owner. The view from my room was stunning and the whole town is gorgeous. No matter who I spoke to everyone was lovely and truly made it the most memorable trip of my life. Thank you Denice!

Charged twice, no refund until now

Convenient location, clean enough.

We have prepared on booking, but asked by the staff to pay another 160chf during checkin. Now I am claiming a refund via booking but the hotel never answer the phone. Such an unprofessional service is like cheating for me.

Very good

Stayed for one night whilst passing through on a bike tour. I could store my bike in the garage. The room had a fan which I was very grateful for in the heatwave.

Breakfast was nice, simple but sufficient. Very comfortable room with a convenient mini fridge, quite spacious. The large desk was useful. I've never seen a room this clean. Kind people.

Curtains are not opaque enough and let the light in. I would have liked to know that there is no elevator and quite a lot of stairs because my suitcase was heavy.

Friendly and helpful staff, the room was clean and cute. There could have had a bit more variety at breakfast but it was fine. Great location.

Mycket trevligt och prisvärt hotell!

Tyvärr var kommunikation dålig mellan vårt hotell Freihof och hotell i närheten där vi skulle äta frukost, så det hotellet var stängt och hade ingen frukost två av dagarna på vår vistelse. Men vi fick pengarna tillbaka så allt var frid och fröjd!

Urlaub im Glarnerland

Das freundliche,hilfsbereite Personal,das sehr saubere und grosse Zimmer,das sehr bequeme Bett,die Lage, vom Bahnhof konnte man durch den herrlichen Volksgarten in wenigen Minuten zum Hotel gelangen. Obwohl das Zimmer an einer befahrenen Strasse war,konnte ich gut schlafen,da in der Nacht alles ruhig war. Der individuelle Check-Out,man zahlte beim Check-In,und konnte bei der Abreise den Schlüssel an einem bestimmten Ort einwerfen.

Das Kissen vom Bett,es war sehr gross,und weich,mit etwas zurechtbüscheln konnte ich trotzdem gut schlafen. Das Morgenessen musste im Hotel Glarnerhof eingenommen werden,das positive war,man konnte schon einen gemütlichen Spaziergang machen....

Im Herzen von Glarus

Seit Januar 2025 in neuer Hand! Es ist alles so wie es sein sollte. Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet, sauber und sehr bequem. Zentral gelegen kommt man in Stadt Glarus zu Fuß überall schnell hin. Der Bahnhof ist 5min,ebenfalls zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und absolut unkompliziert. Wir hatten ein lustigen Abend im Pub. Sehr positiv ist, dass im Pub nicht geraucht wird. Die Atmosphäre ist freundlich, es wird gespielt (einige Brettspiele -z.B. Codenames, Hitster - liegen für Gäste bereit.) Wir haben Dart gespielt. :-) Regelmäßig finden Konzerte und Events statt. Wir können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Tolles Hotel im Ortszentrum. Auch für Velo-Reisende geeignet

Ich war mit meinem E-Bike unterwegs. Schönes Hotel im Zentrum Glarus. Abschliessbarer Raum für das Velo 100 m vom Hotel vorhanden. Reichhaltiges Frühstück. Sehr nettes Personal. Komme sehr gerne wieder.

Romantischer Aufenthalt in stilvollen Räumlichkeiten.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Rhein. Die Gartenterrasse bietet einen tollen Ausblick auf den Rhein und die Abendstimmung ist einzigartig. Die Zimmer sind stilvoll eingerichtet, sogar eine Klimaanlage war vorhanden, die wir bei den heissen Temperaturen gerne genutzt haben. Das Essen war hervorragend, ein frischer Hecht aus dem Untersee. Die Veloabstellgarage war mit Elektrizität ausgerüstet.

Preisleistung top

Nette Begrüssung durch die Wirtin. Obschon die Bar zu war wegen Ostermontag wurde mir ein Guinnes offeriert. Dies empfand ich sehr zuvorkommend und machte die Wirtin noch symphatischer.

Le stanze erano molto pulite. Il personale er a molto gentile e disponibile.

La colazione non era particolarmente ricca. C'era il necessario. La stanza per la colazione era estremamente mal illuminata e fredda. Non abbiamo capito perche non si poteva fare la fattura in strutture al momento del Check out.
