There was nothing that i felt could have been better.

Location, view and helpfulness of Kerstin the owner was fantastic.

The apartment is very quaint with rustic wood beams and the washrooms have been updated and very nice.
The stairs up to the apartment are horrendous with large bags. Very steep and narrow. Also the apartment is located on a street where the cabs will not drop off so we had to go through 5 cabs before we could get one that would drop off close by. Otherwise an easy walk into town.

Gorgeous building in a fantastic location. The view from the rooftop is incredible! Wonderful and responsive staff and fantastic facilities. We stayed in the Copper Room which accommodated our family of four well. We even had a view of the castle from our room!
This didn’t bother us too much, but be mindful of the stairs (steep and narrow) if you have difficulties with stairs or lots of luggage. There is no lift.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable and the location was great. I especially recommend taking advantage of the rooftop patio and enjoying the views of the city. 10/10 would stay again. Plus the water pressure was good in the bathroom which I appreciate.

We loved everything! The apartment was beautifully decorated with paintings of area. All the landings were decorated for Christmas. It had everything you need and owners were great. We are at their restaurant Trattoria Domina which was divine. We would stay here again if in Salzburg.
The stairs but we knew there were stairs when we booked.

The Steinstrasse is such an awesome vibe and the Altstadt is within walking distance!
Parking is expensive, but its everywhere in Austria and Germany!

Excellent location close to the old town but not on a busy street. It was very clean and room enough for our family.
Needed salt and pepper in the kitchen.

Nothing! It was great. There are lots of stairs but we knew this and it was fine.

It was a beautiful apartment located with easy access to everything - perfect for the Xmas markets, the Schloss and the cathedral. The beds were extremely comfortable. There was plenty of room and it had everything we needed. When we arrived and when we left, we were unexpectedly met by Kersten - she is so lovely and very helpful, answering our questions about local places to see and eat. She explained everything we needed to know about the apartment and she, and the young men who were cleaners, helped us with our luggage.
It is hard to think which things could have been better as we had everything we needed and more!

Location was perfect
No living area to chill in, windows very small so quite dark, bathroom smelt damp.

This tiny cave-like apartment really exceeded our expectations. It had everything we needed for a short stay, and more. We visited in October, and the apartment was well-warmed and equipped. It had a huge, comfy bed, a couch, an exquisite kitchenette, and an overall atmosphere that felt excellent. Highly recommended for those visiting this beautiful city.

The location and the roof top!
It is small but we knew that.

The best experience I have had so far during my little travels or stays. The staff (Kerstin and team) are outstanding.
Really nothing negative at all !

Really think this booking through beforehand. Central, absolutely charming street with medieval dimensions. Rooms -- our group had 2 -- were spotlessly clean and everything from lights to hot water to the dishwasher worked as it should! Great beds, sparkling linen, clearly a well-managed property! That said, it is not an exaggeration to say that the house would never be approved as a hotel in most cities in the West -- the ceilings in the stairs are low while at the same time, the steps are challenging for the able-bodied and very likely a no-go for anyone with a mobility issue. The roof terrace was not accessible for half our group, which meant the others were presented with an awkward choice. That said, the rooftop is quite lovely.
No street parking on Steingasse or Imbergstraße. Part of our group have very slight mobility issues that usually do not create obstacles but make public transportation very challenging, so we had a car. Parking in Salzburg blew our budget for discretionary purchases and the Salzburg City pass isn't being honored the way Salzburg's tourism board thinks it is. Basically worthless.

Stone Lodge- Rock Star Apt was the most unique and beautiful home we’ve ever stayed in. It was clean, quiet, safe and felt like home. It was equipped with linens, kitchen wear and bathroom necessities. It had super fast WiFi, and was a perfect walkable location to Alstadt, spectacular views from the rooftop terrace and right next door to a delicious restaurant called Maier’s . Kerstin communicates so well and was a pleasure to meet unexpectedly upon arrival as she was finishing getting the unit ready and we were a teeny early. The utility room on the first floor was so convenient to leave our backpacks in so that we could explore before heading to catch our train. We wish we lived closer to Salzburg so that we could stay again and again!
There was not one thing we did not like. Out of anyone’s control beware that the stairs leading to the apartments are steep and the ceilings can be low at some points which made for some fun for my 70 plus year old parents and 6’3 husband. But Kerstin mentions these things in her listing and messages ahead of time and it really added to the charm of the building built into the side of a plateau!!

Beautiful large apartment situated in Salzburg ( we stayed in the rockstar suite) with a stunning view of the castle. All amenities in the apartment including tea/ coffee and small milks. Very comfy beds.
Travel light as a lot of steps to carry case up, not suitable if you are disabled.

Nothing! It was great.

The location was incredible but we didn’t realize we were on the 4th floor so it was a bit difficult getting our bags up to the apt - we should have packed lighter & it would have been much easier.

Location of the apartment was amazing for the centre of Salzburg and this is why we chose it. The was a cooling fan in the room which was great given the heat wave and this was operating when we arrived. The was also a very nice coffee machine with pods available for drinks and extra if needed. Only issue was no extra milk / creamer to go with the extra coffee pods.
We did not have a view of the burg from our apartment windows as advertised and we did not have the apartment I thought we would with wooden ceiling etc as shown in the photo's on line. It would have been nice to have been able to choose and get the room you wanted. We also had poor wifi reception in the POP Art room and had to sit on the stairs to get reception. I was told the other rooms have better reception so perhaps an extender is required.

Great location. Unique building and room. Great rooftop terrace
Should be an option for cooler bedding when it’s hot.

The property is narrow & three or four stories tall nestled into the face of a rock mountain about a block from the Salzburg River. It was easy access to walk down the cobblestone paths to the river and cross on the foot bridge called Mozart, bridge and end up directly in the old town.

Great location , was an interesting stone cave lodge that has been very tastefully renovated with comfortable beds ,spacious and clean apartment. Host was very easy to communicate with prompt and concise in communication which made the check in process very easy.
Unfortunately we had trouble with the wifi so was off the air for length of stay though host did try to get it working. Also , didn’t realise you had to pay extra for any cleaning until we realised our towels etc weren’t changed after first day so something to keep in mind when you are comparing prices.

The location was fabulous. It was very clean and Kersten was prompt in responding to any questions. We visited the fortress, Mirabellgardens, Alstadt among many other sites and was 10 minute walk for all of them.
We didn’t have any issues but if someone has difficulty walking, some apartments may require walking up 2-3 flights of stairs. They offer parking nearby but I would also drop my luggage at the door and then park the car. The information is offered in the booklet inside the apartment but I’m sure they’ll send you information about it beforehand if you inquire.

Very unique building design literally built into the side of the mountain. Great rooftop deck for sunny days. Great staff/communication.
The bathroom fan vented into the bedroom area. Otherwise super great stay!!

The stairs were very narrow & terrible, we had the apartment on the 4th floor. We had to carry 6 suitcases up & down the stairs.

The property owners sent lots of information about parking and using the property. They were very responsive to questions and helped us solve some issues specific to us (not a problem with the property). The location is great. The building is a neat old building built into the hillside and it has been refinished nicely on the inside.
it wasn't clear when I would receive the entry and parking information. I reached out to the owner to ask. The door code was eventually available but buried in a lot of information. On the last day there was noisy construction going on on the roof in the morning. No dedicated parking but parking was available nearby.

The apartment was lovely in every respect. The bed was super comfy, the bathroom was modern and spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The views from our window and the balcony upstairs were gorgeous. We even made good use of the laundry facilities downstairs.
Nothing really. The staircase needed to be navigated with care when we were going up and down with our luggage, but otherwise it was all good.

Location was great
Access to the terrace was difficult - almost a ladder. The lack of air conditioning in hot weather made nights uncomfortable.

Amazing location. Great clean room. Check in process was easy and had great and easy communication with the staff. Narrow stairs were fun, and the roof top area had a great view.
Wasn't aware that there was a washer and dryer available in the bin room area, and would have utilised had we known.

Incredibly historic location and setting, but with modern fittings and amenities and lots of space for two couples!
The kitchen left a bit to be desired. We were able to make breakfast every day but only *just*. The stove was underpowered and pots/pans quite limited. But if you're only doing very light self-catering don't let this deter you! Oh, and the bells are insane in the morning, but that's no fault of the location, that's just Salzburg.
