Unwelcoming hosts -rude to non-French speakers, unfriendly toward children, tried to rip off guests!

We had a very unpleasant stay at this property and would not recommend it to anyone — especially families with young children. From the beginning, the hosts made us feel unwelcome. When we politely asked for an extra blanket cover for our child, they used it as an excuse to charge us an additional €10 — an unreasonable and unexpected fee. It felt like an attempt to take advantage of us. In the end, our daughter had to sleep with an uncovered duvet, which is not hygienic. The pillows also lacked proper covers. The property does not allow eating in the rooms, and instead provides a separate dining area for guests. However, we were not allowed to use it because the hosts feared our children might break something. This was both unfair and humiliating. Although the property advertises a “family room,” it’s clear that children are not truly welcome. The hosts were cold and unkind toward our kids, making the entire stay uncomfortable. My wife, who doesn’t speak French, was treated rudely, which only added to the stress. The final straw was being asked to leave by 8pm — abruptly and without consideration — even though we had nowhere else to go and no alternative accommodation arranged. This left us stranded in a village we didn’t know.

A very welcome break

It was a relaxing stay. We specially loved our host and hostess. We reserved family room which was big and very comfortable - yes it was very colorful. It is close to by foot or car to the beautiful Plage de Vesterival. Continental Breakfast in the morning was very nice and we got to talk to the hostess. The whole house is nicely decorated. You can relax in the garden.

Lovely B&B with a bit of outdoor space to relax in. Strong WiFi. After learning that my husband didn’t drink caffeine on the first morning the hosts had sourced decaf coffee for him for the next day which was a very thoughtful touch.

Everything. It was exactly how it was on the pictures. we never met the host but it was easy to communicate with them. The property was clean and had everything you need. Would definitely stay again, if we drive through the area again

Nice and calm location, perfect for exploring nearby sites or Dieppe.

Rooms were very comfortable, maintained and clean. "Bathroom is bigger than my room" said one of the kids. :) The hosts were relaxed and communicative and breakfast and checkout was not at the earliest, so you could snooze a bit (breakfast from 8-10, checkout at 11). You can communicate even if your French is non-existent. :) Really nice place in a calm area. Also close to Dieppe and nearby beaches. We stayed overnight (going north to Dunkirk and Belgium) and were only sightseeing WW2 sites, marvel at the beaches and cliff views and enjoyed eating food - we weren't here for the seasonal vacation so this review is oriented towards that as the season is in high swing and everything is at full capacity all around currently. Well we got lucky and got away with an overnight stay.

Des commentaires trouvés sur le site, indiquaient: "lieu fabuleux", "petit-déjeuner exceptionnel". Je trouve cette publicité mensongère. Je m'attendais à un style magnifique maison de charme dans un très beau paysage et un petit déjeuner avec un buffet très garni. Donc, je suis un peu déçue par mon séjour. Ceci dit, je recommanderais ce lieu: maison impeccable, literie et linge de toilette parfaits, accueil très cordial.

Chambre spacieuse, calme absolu

Chambre spacieuse, très propre, avec les qualités suivantes peu courantes et très appréciées : WC séparé de la salle de douche, volet à la fenêtre permettant de dormir dans l'obscurité. Calme absolu, parking privé, possibilité de s'installer au jardin. Très bonne localisation pour visiter la côte d'Albâtre. Propriétaire très pro : sympathique sans être intrusif, il nous a donné de très bons conseils de balades dans la région.

Le pain du petit-déjeuner nous a semblé être du pain industriel, dommage car en France on a de tellement bons pains en boulangerie.

Nous étions trois, en vélo, sur la Route du Lin. Cette étape aux Grandes Masures a été très positive. Bien dormi, excellent petit déjeuner, grande propreté, calme, hôtes accueillants. Bon rapport qualité prix.
