Comfy Bed & a Terrific Breakfast

I was cycling the London-Paris Route. The hotel has a designated indoor closet for storing bicycles. The double bed was fantastic and surprisingly snug, and the shower was great. Complimentary toiletries, towels. The buffet breakfast opened 0600 until 0930, and included all the trimmings: granola, yoghurt, crusty baguette, cold cuts, cheese, pate, huge croissants, good black coffee, fruit juice, fruit. Well worth the ten euros.

Location. Everything you need within walking distance. Trains, buses, shops, restaurants, beach etc. Welcoming, friendly, helpful staff. Good breakfast.

It's very tired and run down. My room was grubby for want of a better term. The bed and tiny bathroom were spotless but vents and skirting filthy.. see pic

Kind staff & convenient location, but an unpleasant & uncomfortable room.

The location is great - right in the centre of town and with underground parking right next door. The staff were delightful. Very kind and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast offer is good value.

There was no kettle to make tea, only a very 'cheap' coffee machine which didn't heat the water very well. Bath towels were provided, as one should expect, but no hand towel. The soap dispenser in the shower was coming off the wall and worked poorly. There was the smallest of table surface to put things on and no wardrobe or cupboard. The electric plugs and switches did not seem very safe. The general decor of the room was very sad and dowdy. Not one picture on the wall. There was no drinking water available at breakfast and no cooked food other than cold boiled eggs. The breakfast food was mostly highly processed.

I was well treated and comfortable.

Breakfast was excellent and good value. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel would perhaps benefit from a pro-active, efficient handyman. It was not obvious how to operate the shower, because the tap for it was outside the shower on the basin. This, coupled with the facts that the shower head leant a little towards the basin and the flexible pipe for it had to pass around the shower curtain, meant that it was difficult to avoid water from the shower escaping on to the floor of the bathroom. Also the hold to the lock to the window was broken and therefore would not lock.

Very Comfortable.

Firstly 1.30pm check in is such a huge bonus. I was allowed to check in at 1.15pm which meant I could enjoy the whole day. Although a bit dated and basic on my first impression. It was extremely comfortable and very clean. Quiet despite being so close to the centre. Having a coffee machine was a treat. I would definately book again.

For what we paid it was a fair hotel

Tidy and clean location for our purpose was good(docks) breakfast was good

Bathrooms were small and somewhat awkward. The stair wells were dark with no lights coming on.apart from that good value

Excellent value accommodation, both clean and comfortable, close to public transport

The staff were friendly. The room was clean, adequately spacious and the bed was comfortable. The buffet style breakfast which was available from 6.00am worked well for me. The central location near the train station and buses was excellent. The discount for one person compared to two people was helpful; the accommodation was excellent value.

There were no cupboards for storage - but since I only stayed 2 nights, this wasn't a problem!

Overall a very good basic hotel about 5-10 minutes walk from the shops and harbour.

A fair budget hotel

Bathroom cramped, poor facilities for drying clothes - important for multi-day cycle tour from Dieppe. Not just me, others found the heater control difficult to use, maybe defective. No information online about breakfast, found out on arrival.

Location was perfect for leaving the ferry late in the evening. Very easy to find. The breakfast was perfect - thank you! Very helpful staff and great storage room for bikes.
