Charming host, spectacular views, fine swimming pool, plenty of historic towns within easy driving distance, excellent breakfast, immaculately clean.

No complaints whatever! Pekko has much to commend it. Just to inform others that, apart from the pool, facilities are limited. Absolutely fine if you're touring, walking or sightseeing by car, but probably not for an extended family holiday.

Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad bij Pekko, een heel mooi en leuk ingericht verblijf. Het verblijf zit op een berg waardoor je een prachtig uitzicht hebt. Er is een zwembad aanwezig met uitzicht op de omgeving. De kamer was ruim en schoon. Goed ontbijt. De gastvrouw is super lief en goed bereikbaar bij vragen. Ze heeft ons veel tips gegeven over wat te doen in de omgeving, restaurants etc. De Locatie is ook goed, je rijdt de berg naar beneden en je bent in Spello, een heel leuk en mooi dorpje. Andere plekken zoals Assisi, Perugia en Montefalco zijn ook prima te doen met de auto.

Het enige wat wij jammer vonden was dat de airco automatisch ingesteld staat, waardoor we hem niet kouder konden zetten als we het warm vonden in de kamer.

Good afternoon. The Pekko accommodation has been created so that a city person like me can relax close to nature while still retaining certain familiar categories of comfort (unfortunately, I still want them — which is purely my personal whim and in no way attributable to the hosts). At the same time, I would like to note that I truly appreciated the excellent and beautiful location, the construction of the house, and the care the hostess and/or her assistants take of the garden and the lovely plantings. Next to our room there was a beautiful oak tree that not only provided shade but is also connected to my surname, which felt a little symbolic to me. It is wonderful that at night you hear the birds before they fall asleep, and that the morning also begins with these sounds — sounds that have nothing to do with anything mechanized or man-made. At the same time, of course, as a representative of the 21st century, I also used the shower, the fragrant soap, and everything was perfectly fine. The breakfast bread was very delicious — the hostess mentioned that she bakes it herself. The sweet cake was excellent as well. If at some point in my life I have the opportunity to visit Assisi for a longer period, I would gladly stay at Pekko. For peace. And hopefully next time to meet the hostess’s cat and dog, whom unfortunately we did not meet on this visit.

As a small joke — I would have liked to meet the dog and the cat, of course, if they themselves aren’t tired of us guests :) But seriously — I noticed that there used to be a small restaurant or café; perhaps I would be happy if it still existed, but otherwise it was also lovely to drive to a nearby town and enjoy a good Italian dinner there. I would suggest allowing guests to ask for, or placing in a visible spot, some simple wine glasses. After all, Italy is famous for its wine culture, and Pekko has such a beautiful vine-covered pergola where one could enjoy it — in the morning, if there’s nowhere to go and it’s not yet hot, or in the evening under the stars. I would also gladly enjoy a little taste of local olive oil with some bread baked by the hostess herself. She sells it — I noticed that. But perhaps, unfortunately, it doesn’t pay off and is too expensive, because everything has become very costly these days. Please consider what I mentioned as suggestions rather than criticism.
