Romantic historical residence with large panoramic terrace and breathtaking sunsets

It was a lovely stay with beautiful views. Manuela was very helpful and easy to communicate with. She had a lot of helpful hints in the apartment, both about the place and things to do in town. As has been mentioned, this is an old hilly town with cobblestone streets so be prepared to walk uphill and plan for sturdy shoes. The shower is one of those that is literally in the bathroom, but it was well-designed and easy to negotiate if you read her instructions.

Of all the places on our 14 day trip, to 4 different regions and 6 areas in northern Italy, this one was my favorite! The charm of this rental will stay in my memory forever. Spello is beautiful and quaint, mere words can't explain it...just wonderful. Our host, Manuela, is as beautiful as the village, inside and out. She left nothing missing when outfitting this place with everything anyone could possibly need for their stay. From the sweet gifts she left us, to the magnificent views, to the friendliness and cheerful vibe of the city. We did park a short distance from the rental, but it was very doable and worth every step to stay here. We truly hope to be able to stay here again for longer next time. Thank you Manuela.

Excellent location, it’s a short walk (some uphill - wear a sturdy shoe) from free parking. There is easy access to hiking trails - a beautiful hike along the aqueduct to Collepino and back to Spello, and a trail to Assisi. We had a bit of rain so didn’t get to do the Assisi hike. There are good restaurants and bars a short walk into the city center. Cantine di Spello was a highlight- make a reservation in advance. The apartment is just as described and the view from the terrace is stunning. There is an outer street door to unlock before proceeding down a ramped walkway to the apartment. It felt very secure inside this area. The apartment is equipped with everything needed for either a quick stop or a long stay. The owner has helpful hints posted around the place - helpful reminders for using appliances and such.I was confused about the checkout- it says final cleaning included but we should clean the bathroom and kitchen. It may have been a translation error on my part. My only suggestion is to wear sturdy shoes - the stone outside of the apartment door was slick with moss - I slid a few times when wearing a block heel boot to go to dinner.
