Saw all I wanted to see in Trieste. This accommodation was close to a varied range of restaurants.

The office you check in at is literally two minutes away from the train station - across the square from the train station, down the road adjacent to the cafe, and then first right. I was pleasantly surprised - and relieved! - at how easy the check in process was, and how clear and comprehensive the instructions were to access the room I'd been allocated. The location was superb, within easy walking distance of everything, and the staff at reception could not have been more delightful and helpful, offering suggestions for what I could take advantage of that day - it was the first Sunday of the month when all the museums are free and I would never have known that had I not been told. As for the room itself, it was in a lovely old building steps away from the main square and next to one of the great Trieste caffès - The Tommaseo. Go and have a look, it's really beautiful, even if you don't want to eat there, although they do a great deal from 3-7 for €14, and if you order a drink the nibbles you get are so copious you won't be able to eat dinner anyway. And it's right next to the Greek Orthodox Church, San Nicolò, which is an absolute must see. Roman Catholicism won out over the Orthodox Church in most of Western Europe, so it's a rare chance to see just how gorgeous - and how different - the Orthodox churches really are But I digress - back to the accommodation: I was impressed by the way the room and bathroom had been thought through - too often in a bathroom there is nowhere to put your stuff - here, a small two level trolley was provided - amazing. And the shower had great pressure and the air conditioner worked. I'd book again if I were to return to Trieste.

This is such a little niggle, but this is Italy and the country of coffee! No fewer than THREE types of tea bags were artfully displayed in the room, but NO coffee!! ???!!!!!

I would not stay there again. The very average accommodation did not compensate for the trauma on checkin.

It’s location.

The communications from the property were very poor. Because we were misled initially about where check in would take place and so many responses to our questions were in Italian which we don’t understand the misunderstandings we had were never cleared up. It turns out the ownership changed after we’d made the booking, but no e plained that or the change of check in arrangements. As a result check in was extremely traumatic on a very hot and humid day in Trieste.

Great for location and our short 2 night stay

Great location close to trains and cruise ports. Staff friendly and will to help in any wY they could.

Confusing to check in at one place, then staying at another location. Hard to get a hold of someone initially. Air conditioner not the best and was not working in one room S I rented two rooms. Refrigerator is small and doesn’t cool to well.

A Little Treat in Trieste

Great location near the water and the centre of town. Check-in process was a little odd however it went all smoothly and wasn't a big deal. ( Checked in at one building and then we were escorted across the square to another building) Despite this room was adequate with free water and a good size bathroom. Parking was approx €12 which for the centre of a city was dirt cheap.

No milk for the tea.

Disappointing

The location is great

The bedroom itself is fine, mostly functional but with great taste. However the experience is not great. You enter a flat which has been divided in bedrooms. The entrance looks like a laundry room (piles of clean bedsheets everywhere but mostly bags of dirty laundry on the floor at check-in time and all the time). It is not welcoming and does not feel cosy for a holiday. I'd better put the same amount of money in a curated place.

Excellent location. Clean and nice rooms. the keys are to be picked up in location near this accommodation. The stuff took us to the apartment after check in. All good. I would come again. Wifi is really good.

location is good

the room was not in the hotel block but in a different block for which the entrance was a room which looked like a laundry room full of towels and sheets. No TV remote control… owners were supposed to get one but never did during the 3 night stay. on the 2nd day the room was not even cleaned or serviced!

Very good

We stayed for 2 nights in early July. There is a lift inside the building so there's no need to hand-carry your heavy luggage! The location is perfect with a 5 minute walk to the harbour (Molo Audace is right outside) and a 10 minute walk to the lift that brings you up to San Guisto Cathedral and fortress. The ancient roman theatre ruins are right beside that lift. You will also get a discount at a cafe nearby (for staying at this apartment) where my friends and I had delicious pancakes for breakfast.

We stayed during summer, so the weather outside gets very hot but and the host initially thought blankets were not necessary. But we had our air-conditioning turned on which made the room pretty cool. So, we didn't have blankets on our first night but were given on our second.

perfect location

the location is perfect: close to the sea, a bus ticket machine, the main square and a lot of restaurants/cafe. They have all the nice things in a walking distance. The bed was comfortable but the pillows are a bit hard. Communication with hosts were smooth and helpful as well.

This hotel is more to me in air BnB direction: there is no reception and common area to sit and relax. You are bound to your room (which is not very spacious and there is only one chair) so if it's raining or stormy and you can go out it can get stressful.
