Friendly, attentive staff. Excellent adjoining pub, though meals rather pricey. Very good breakfast, and rooms had river or mountain views in a very picturesque area.
EV charging was poorly layed out, and only 1 of the 4 chargers appeared to work. £1 per kWh, is also exploitative. Decided not to bother here

Great location for visiting the towns around Lake District, beautiful views from our room, the decor was gorgeous, food was good, staff were lovely, the spa facilities were great. Would highly recommend and would go back again.

Room and furniture in room dated.
Drinking water in spa in jugs, not very appealing and warm.

Food was good, with a decent selection of drinks.
The spa was disappointing. The water appeared dirty and had an unpleasant smell. We understand a low-chemical or natural filtration system may be used, but the experience was not enjoyable.
The room itself was acceptable, however the MDF bath panel was damaged, which affected both hygiene and appearance. The layout was also inconvenient. The only mirror was positioned next to the bathroom door, and there were no nearby plug sockets for using a hairdryer. The dressing table also did not have a mirror, which made basic use difficult.
