I liked absolutely everything about the Riverside, great location, clean, great rooms, excellent shower, coffee/tea facilities with good choice of hot drinks. The bar/restaurant was excellent with great choice of food and drinks. The staff were amazingly helpful, chatty, friendly and professional.

Excellent - would recommend a stay!

Excellent value for money, clean, tidy and plenty of tea / coffee / hot chocolate facilities. For a family of 5, the room was very well laid out, and had plenty of milk and sugar sachets as most hotels only provide four to six.

No issue for us, but as there were external stairs to access property, may not be suitable for some guests, but there were plenty of ground floor rooms.

Lovely Lechlade Stay

We stayed in the Superior Double room, which was spacious and beautifully furnished with trendy décor. The bathroom was clean and well-appointed, adding to the comfort of our stay. Free parking was a great bonus! Breakfast was excellent – a hearty vegetarian English breakfast that was fresh and flavorful. The staff were efficient and friendly, making the entire check-in process quick and hassle-free. The location is fantastic, and the pub itself is stunning with a charming atmosphere. I can imagine it being lively and packed during the summer months. Highly recommend this place for a comfortable stay and great experience!

The other twin room bathroom needs a bit of TLC.

Good value for money, clean and had everything we needed.

Great location, very good value for money. Amazing for a family of our size. Very happy to have facilities to make our own hot drinks after the long drive. Room very clean. And Great food at the pub.

The children’s beds were quite loud, seemed to be quite cheap and noisy. Like they needed tightening or just new ones. The only thing that let our stay down. They girls even commented how uncomfortable the mattresses were and how wobbly the beds were. Everything else was faultless.

Weekend stay for a local wedding

Room clean staff friendly, and a very good breakfast for the price paid.

The bar closed very early ! Last orders 21.40. Seemed strange, that as residents we could not get a drink from the bar after the above hours Be aware taxis not easy to obtain !!!

Great room by the Thames

Great location, very clean room, very comfortable bed, good price compared to other similar properties in the Cotswolds.

We decided to have breakfast there, although it was not included in the price of the room, and we wish we gave it a miss: one egg, baked beans looked as if they have been out of the can for a while, cheap small mushrooms from can. A little attention to details and a bit more quality would go a long way.

Telly wasn't very good . Couldn't get anything expect poor reception terrestrial tv but I'm being nit picky. Usually don't bother with tv but all the men stayed up for a drink so I went to bed to watch a bit of telly. I read my book instead

Lovely stay next to Thames

Very comfortable and cosy family room with an extra room/bed. Wonderful sleep on a super comfy mattress and easy adjustable heating. Very tasty breakfast at the pub and lovely staff. Lovely location next to the river where friendly ducks are waiting to be hand fed.

The meal we had was tasty and we enjoyed it. Parking was straightforward and included in the price. Staff were obliging, welcoming and friendly.

Dining tables could have been cleaner. No hot water to washbasin in room (sorted for night 2). Double bed room but only one chair and only one bedside light - really silly lack of care and forethought.

Beautiful place by the canal

Very helpful young lady stayed an extra hour as we were delayed by traffic. Lovely breakfast and dinner with very big portions too. The canal beside was so beautiful with swans and ducks .

The room was quite dark and it looked as if one bedside lamp was missing. The room was exceptionally hot but we turned off the radiators and opened the windows. Also there was no shaving point which was poor considering the price and looking to plug in my laptop - again no convenient plugs near the desk in the dark corner.

Uncomfortable - no sleep - sad as was meant to be birthday celebrations.

Location was beautiful and peaceful by the water..

The bed in 1a our room was not fit to sleep on, springs sticking in all parts of our body, so uncomfortable. We both got NO SLEEP! The toilet door is a slide door has no handle on the inside, so I got locked in. Informed staff in the morning that we was leaving not staying for our 2nd night.. Staff unfortunately could not refund as was pre paid rate via bookings. Com!!

Beautiful Cotswold location on the Thames with good amenities.

The property felt high-end and the rooms were updated and modern. Extras like tea and hot chocolate in the room as well as the provided soaps and shampoos were quite nice. An excellent location right on the river and the pub was beautiful with tasty food.

Beautiful setting!

The location,pub and restaurant were very good.

The room was extremely hot, only one window open but needed to be propped open. Shower floor needed a bath mat as it was slippery.

Lovely family stay.

The rooms are a nice size, we had 3 rooms in total, two were ground floor as requested and the quad room was on the first floor. Our bathroom in our room was compact and the toilet bowl had brown stains that had obviously gotten worse over months, it was clean, but on first appearance, it wasn't great. The extractor fan made a racket when the light was turned on, again, didn't bother us, but could do with some maintenance. Our room had a bath tub which was a bonus :-) Dad's room, was bigger and had a walk in shower. All looked clean and tidy. My sister had the quad room but I don't know what that looked like, but heard no complaints. There was plenty of toiletries in the bathroom and plenty of tea coffee etc in the room, a nice touch, as most rooms only have enough for 1 drink each - and when you like a cuppa - it's nice not to have to ask for more :-) The B&B only provides breakfast at the weekends, but there is a cafe next to the pub in the same grounds, but didn't open until 10:00 so we had to find another place to have breakfast - the one we found, we would NOT use again. The staff at the pub are super friendly, work really hard and are a welcome change to some we've encountered. The food selection is good, and the portions are large. Definitely worth the money. We love the fact that this venue is right on the river, so we could sit in the garden next to the river, feed the swans etc. You can also hire boats and pedalos from the hire place next door. I would highly recommend The Riverside.
