This little hidden oasis of serenity was perfect during a fully booked conference week. The walk to CETIM was fine, and on rainy days it was easy to get a BOLT. If I’m in the area again, I’ll 100% book here over any modern big hotel.

Excellent location in the centre of Senlis. Clean, warm and comfortable bedroom. We did get to park inside for free despite the parking spaces being under renovation and basically unavailable.
Polite, smiling and relaxed hosts.
- My initial contact email to the property was ignored — in which I stipulated needing parking and asking if an early check in was possible. I had to send a second one a few days before the date to get a partial answer.
- we weren’t told that parking was a problem— and even if we were parked inside, we weren’t free to come and go as we would have liked.
- A general sense that everything is counted and in quite limited quantities: coffee pods and water in the bedroom, meagre offering at breakfast (nothing in front of us but limited amount of bread, one croissant, a tiny slice of butter for 2 and 2 spoons of undefined jam in a saucer). The offer of eggs, cheese and charcuterie came later but nothing was on offer on the table. We kept having to ask for more coffee as the volume was barely 2 cups for 2..
- We were made to feel that we were late down for breakfast ( yes, 10 minutes) and were staying too long, as the huge dining table was only laid at one end for two and the other guests were coming down — and clearly supposed to sit where we were. In the end, if the custom is welcome, I’m not sure the customers are. Disappointing.

It is a hidden gem, you don’t see the castle from the street but once you enter through the gate, it reveals its beauty. We stayed in the king size bedroom, it is beautiful, very specious and clean. The bed was super comfortable and bedsheets simply hugging you through the cold night. The owners are very friendly warm and attentive. Location is spot on, right at the center of Senlis. Something different than the usual hotels. We has a wonderful stay at this historical place! Highly recommend!

Very spacious room and bathroom with nice views. Gracious hosts. Good breakfast with scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, and croissant. When showing up with a car and buzzing the door for entry, you will likely block some traffic until the host comes out and backs up the car for you to the private parking area. We had nice walks around town in the evening and morning. There are a number of good options for dinner. The cathedral is nicely lit up at night. We would stay there again before flying out of CDG.

Welcoming hosts, helpful
Rooms need redecorating and improving, exterior was good, interiors disappointing. Breakfast just about okay, small portions.
bathroom poor - loose taps, and basin damaged, , dressing room dingy and shabby ditto the bedroom, WC sited in the bedroom, parking and egress/ingress very difficult (but Host helped)

We loved the location in the heart of this historic walled city; we were warmed by the generous hospitality of our welcoming hosts; a delicious breakfast prepared for our daily adventures.
Be fore warned of the stairs for anyone with mobiliy issues.

The hotel and authentic rooms. In the middle of Senlis but it is so quiet. The hosts are very gentle.
We liked everything.

All was fantastique - we loved the place, the room, the atmosphere, and the hosts. As we had visited the Château de Chantilly already, we did not book their private tour with a stunning Rollce Royce to go there.
Only minor thing - as I was also working- was a poor wifi connection. But hey, who bothers when stsying there.

I rarely use superlatives but this was really exceptional. Extremely charming place with a beautiful garden in the middle of Senlis. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was gigantic but cosy at the same time, not to mention the very luxurious bathroom. We almost didn't want to leave after our very fine breakfast. It was a pity we needed to go elsewhere otherwise it was really worthwhile to visit the old city. It's not Paris, but we definitely ate better at the local restaurant (Chez nous) for a more reasonable price.
Nothing really, maybe just the fact that it was not easy to find in the old city with all its narrow roads.
But a gem like this makes it definitely worthwhile!

Castel Ecossais has style! This destination is for the traveler who looks for something special. Staying in a chateau is not a "off the rack" accommodation. The host was very friendly and accommodating, we were able to top off the battery of our EV over night. The location could not have been better. It is in the center of the historical city, and CDG airport is just 20 (car)min away. Perfect.

The hosts were wonderfully warm and welcoming. The accommodations and garden spectacular. We felt right at home. The location is perfect for walking Senlis. Look no further. Stay here.

We stayed at four places in France and this was the best location of the four. Cute shops and restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful views of historic buildings. Very clean and spacious room, with sitting area. Accommodating hosts. Comfotable bed with premium linens. Woman's touch was evident in the details. Delicious breakfast The hosts spoke English.
Parking in Senlis is difficult, including at the site...but the hosts went out of their way to make sure we were not inconvenienced.

Very centre of town and hardly noticeable from the road as hidden away behind gates from the street. Very quiet and private property. We were given the top floor room which is 40 steps up a spiral staircase. Views were lovely, room was enormous, bathroom the same, very large bed. Washing machine, iron and ironing board which we found very useful. A lot of character. Lovely breakfast served in the dining room on the ground floor. Very central to restaurants but make sure you book ahead as we could not get a table reservation at the one the host’s recommended, nor the second and only just got in at the last.

Spacious room and huge bathroom.
Spiral staircase to our room - very difficult for elderly people. Breakfast was just O.K.

Very romantic, historical building with great antique atmosphere. Located in the very centre of the old historical city, parking inside the location. Very friendly owner of the house.

This was a beautiful setting right in the heart of town.
Just know when booking that check in time is later than for other properties. I must have missed that when I booked.

The location, right in the centre of Senlis was perfect. Our room was superb, with wonderful views over the beautifully kept garden.
We hadn't realised that there is an infinity pool, so next time we'll pack swimming costumes.
Our hosts were extremely hospitable, and couldn't do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable. We will definitely be going back!
The only problem we had was finding the place!

This is a small B& B within a larger home in the center of the old town in Senlis. It was a good location for us in terms of accessing CDG the next morning. Senlis itself is charming for sightseeing. The room was large. We had to negotiate two sets of narrow stairs to get there. The yard was lovely and the hostess, Isabel, was kind and helpful. Breakfast was simple and adequate.
The building is hard to find. Even the neighbors didn't know about the b & b. There is free parking but it's difficult to negotiate.

Location and views from windows.
For the price, the place should have a better breakfast, more amenities like tissues, etc. We stayed in 10 other places that were better value for the money charged. Check in was confusing. Instructions before we came would have helped.

Great service I arrived very late due to a flight delay and this was not a problem and they were very helpful and attentive. Room was very spacious and comfortable.

The location is very good within Senlis, close to shops, bars and restaurants. It’s very quiet, even if within the city center. The view from the room and balcony is very nice. My room was very big and spacious. The owners are very kind. Breakfast is simple and every day the same but ok and of good quality.
Where the house is obviously antique, the facilities haven’t been upgraded much. It was quite cold in the room - even with the heater on - and the bathroom is outdated (old sink + you need to take a high step to get jnto the bath for showering, which a danger for slipping when coming out). Some small details (eg different types of towels and showering products) make you feel more in an airbnb then in a hotel. Which is fine, it’s just all about expectations. In the end I feel you mostly pay for the antique house and furniture, and less for comfort and facilities.
