Poppies Cottages is an island of serenity amidst the Kuta chaos.The cottages are old style Bali thatched, but the facilities in each cottage are all you would ever need. The gardens and pool area are lush,beautiful,and well maintained.Breakfast is served in your cottage or across the lane at the iconic Poppies restaurant Excellent options and quality. Such warm welcoming staff, a beautiful oasis in the middle of Kuta. Perfectly located friendly staff beautifully appointed Cottages a reasonable walk from the beach. Poppy‘s restaurant with lovely for breakfast, plenty to choose from we stayed three nights and had evening meals at the restaurant which were lovely. Very engaging staff we were driven to our Next stop by the driver which was two hours away. They also picked up from the airport would recommend

A perfect oasis in the madness of the surrounding area the lane leading to the property that leads down to the beach is very busy and you are harassed at every point although the people in Bali are very friendly

How is the serenity

Hidden sanctuary with beautiful plants and flowers. The pool area is so peaceful and tranquil- best pool landscaping I have ever seen and enjoyed.

Very comfortable and beautiful property, like an oasis.with lush plantings, fountains, ponds and a beautiful 'natural' designed pool area. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The included airport transfers were a treat.

A true oasis of calm in a busy city.

We spent two nights in Kuta, close to the airport and right by the sea. Poppies Villas is located just a five-minute walk from the beach and is a true haven of peace in this otherwise noisy city. The garden is beautiful, and the bungalows are arranged in such a way that everyone can enjoy their privacy. Breakfast was excellent — we had it just across the street at Poppies Restaurant, in a lush and beautiful setting. We also tried the restaurant’s cuisine, which we highly recommend. Everything has been carefully thought out — the gardens, bungalows, swimming pool, restaurant — all in keeping with traditional Balinese architecture. We felt very comfortable there.

Perfect in every way!

The staff were exceptionally kind, friendly and helpful. Top notch service from wonderful people. The property is stunningly gorgeous, we first came here 36 years ago and were afraid maybe the place would have become worse- but absolutely not, we absolutely loved as much or more than 36 years ago!

A beautiful oasis in the middle of Kuta.

Poppies Cottages is an exceptional place to stay in Kuta. The cottages are beautiful, finished in traditional Balinese architecture, wood carvings and thatched roofs. The pool is stunning. The staff are so friendly and helpful, it is like coming home every time we visit. It is like stepping into a calm, serene oasis in the middle of Kuta. The breakfasts are phenomenal - you will not be disappointed, I promise.

cosy hideaway in the midle of Kuta

cute cottage with covered outdoor bathroom. older style rooms but very cozy, the resort is well established with lots of greenery and a nice pool, a little oasis in Kuta. only around 20 rooms all ground level gives it a nice feel. Free airport pickup was a welcome bonus

Terrible I needed a week of work after returning to Australia due to food poisoning

Gardens and room were nice

I got food poisoning and only ate at hotel restaurant that day. Also water in room was in metal screw on bottles in a drawer not sealed in fridge. Street very narrow and dangerous.

I love staying at Poppies, you would not know your in the heart of Kuta. Please don’t change.

We have stayed here several times, nothing really changes, the greenery and the feeling of being secluded is fantastic.

If I had to say anything it’s perhaps not enough room around the pool, but I wouldn’t want them to change it, I’ll just put up with it.

We had a wonderful stay at Poppies Bali. The entire property is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation that creates a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere — even around the pool area. Everything was very clean, and the traditional décor with carved wood details gives the place a charming and authentic feel. The bathroom was especially lovely and well designed. The staff were warm, friendly, and always helpful. Another big plus is the location: the well-known Poppies Restaurant is just a few steps away from the accommodation, which is extremely convenient.

Very comfortable

I was actually astounded by the attention to detail in the design/plan of the cottage. Everything had been thought out...from lighting to walk-in bathtub/shower to antique bottle opener on the built-in dining area.

Nothing to be done about this now...but I would have liked a little more light in the room...their were sufficient windows, but they were small (and perhaps tinted?) What I really didn't like was that the water kettle was made of plastic and made my Starbucks coffee taste like plastic. I'd suggest stainless steel kettles.

Very quite oase in very busy Kuta close to beach restaurants and shops thus ideal location - very nice large swimming pool in beautiful garden with also pool bar where you can order food from the restaurant. Excellent restaurant ! Best hotel during our 2-weeks vacation in Bali.

What a gorgeous hidden sanctuary right in the middle of Kuta. You would never know it was there. The staff were awesome. Really comfy Bungalows. Set in beautifully maintained tropical gardens, within walking distance to shops, beach and restaurants. Will definitely be back here. 🙏

I would strongly reaccomend this place to anyone. The rooms are beautiful, clean, with a comfy bed, and fully accessorised with everything you need (air conditioning, fans, tea, coffee, fridge, dressing gowns, collection of shower products..). But for me, the best part was the bathroom with opening to the outside The structure is simply amazing: so many pretty details and lots of Instagram-perfect corners in lush nature. The pool is perfect to relax and if you want you can have food served right there Cocktails, breakfast and food are also great! Staff is very smily and helpful. The hotels also provides changing rooms and showers for late check-outs. It 's a 10-minute walk from kuta beach and its immense mall.

If i really have to find one fault the shower temperature wasn't very hot. But truly everything was perfect, thank you!

Great location in the heart of Kuta. Love the history of the place and the old world charm and character of the complex of villas. It is a tranquil, peaceful and quiet oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Kuta. The villa itself is spacious, spotlessly clean and full of beautiful design touches. The adjoining restaurant is equally stunning and we had a beautiful meal there.

The location. The way to the hotel was very narrow, almost like an alleyway allowing just one four wheeler. We had a hard time finding the exact way to the hotel even with our guide.

A relaxing oasis in the heart of Kuta

An absolutely amazing place to stay in Kuta, you go through the door to POPPIES and it is a genuine oasis. So quiet with lush gardens and the most beautiful bungalows with unbelievably comfortable beds. I had breakfast delivered to my room which made the start to the day so easy and enjoyable. Poppies picked me up from rhe airport and organized my onward travel and as a female travelling alone that helped a lot. It is in a great location with shops and bars/restaurants close by, yet once you're in your bungalows you wouldn't know. I only stayed for a night and would 💯 recommend.

Beautiful small hotel in the heart of Kuta. Exceptional staff who practice the superb art of Balinese hospitality. Nothing, and I mean nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are traditional Balinese design and the pool and gardens just beautiful. Poppies restaurant, a stones throw away, lived up to it's reputation.
