Perfect relaxing stay. Just what we needed.

From when we were welcomed in with a warm cup of tea and snack and a friendly chat, till when we left, we were treated extremely well by our host Pamela. She kindly allowed us to dine with some of our own wine and cheeses in the conservatory she had set aside for our own personal use. She had nicely set the table with wine glasses and plates etc for us to use on our return from exploring. It was great to have the large downstairs room and a comfy lounge, with what can only be described as a perfect relaxing environment. My wife is a Coeliac, and Pamela had catered for her needs perfectly. Being the only ones to stay on site, you are treated very special during the stay.

Not much not to like. Yes, there are a few stairs to get to the room, and some low head room areas, but all this just added to the charm and character of the stay.

Beautiful property. Gracious host. Good value. Better than any hotel room.

The breakfast was spectacular! Pamela made a wonderful breakfast of poached eggs, Irish bacon and soda bread. Juices, fruits and cereal were also provided. Best breakfast we had all trip! The breakfast room was also a delight as it was very sunny with windows all around.

The only (and I mean only) negative to this property is that it is about 4 miles from Derry City Center. If you are driving this is not a problem. But, if relying on public transit, buses are available but only travel to this location 3 times per day. Taxis were hard to find in town but that may have been due to the timing of school dismissal around 3 pm. After hearing of our transportation difficulties, Pamela was very accommodating as she took us into town the next day and took us to the train station on the following day. A very attentive host.

A great bargain hidden away on the Derry countryside

Pamela was a wonderful host and the property is lovely. Our room was adorable and we really enjoyed our time spent in the atrium. Pamela thought of everything from tea and coffee service to a hairdryer and cozy well decorated rooms and convenient parking.

Larchmount House is a wonderful B&B. Pamela is an excellent host, both friendly and helpful. And she's curated a guest experience that feels exclusive and luxurious while at the same time comfortable (not often the case with B&Bs).

The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been a small fridge in the room with fresh milk inside for tea and coffee. Pamela has put so much thought and effort into curating a exceptional guest experience, this would just be the icing on the cake.

Beautiful house estate

A beautiful house estate on the outskirts of Londonderry 🙂 Pamela, our host, was extremely nice, she made us a lovely breakfast and gave us all the recommendations for visiting local sights. She made us feel very welcome, we felt like we were in our own home. Her house and yard are very beautiful, the inside of the house is tastefully decorated with lots of pretty decorations and everything is really clean. The beds are also very comfortable 🙂

Excellent B&B

We stayed at Larchmount as we were attending a wedding at Beech Hill nearby. The B&B is perfectly located within walking distance for anyone visiting Beech Hill. The room was very comfortable and homely. Pamela was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent and served in a beautiful conservatory overlooking the surrounding garden.

Favorite B&B Experience of our Holiday

The wonderful host, Pamela, was friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The two room suite was decorated beautifully and impeccably clean. Guests have use of a conservatory where she serves a lovely breakfast. The location is not far from the city center and is located at the end of a very quiet lane. I would highly recommend Larchmont House and would love to stay there again when we visit Derry next. We love opting for traditional B&B's when we travel and this one was by far our favorite of our 3 week holiday through Ireland and Scotland.

A beautiful place to stay, comfortable, spotless with excellent food

We were there for a wedding in a local hotel which was 2 minutes from Larchmount House which was great althogh the entrance was a little hard to find along the main road however Pamela sent me a message on the day to help me find the entrance but I didnt pick it up in time so go slow along the road and you'll see it. . A beautiful building, we had the bedroom at the top of the house, the room was very unique and memorable, spotlessly clean with extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast was so delicious and fresh with a choice of continental of cereals, juices, yoghurts, fresh fruit, fresh breads, and muffins and tray bakes, tea, coffee, toast etc with also the option to have a cooked breakfast as well which I did and it was also so fresh and delicious. Pamela was great and made us feel so welcome and offered to drop us off at the local hotel for the wedding. Overall a wonderful stay and although a bit more expensive than the usual hotels in Derry it was worth it and I would have no hesitation recommending Larchmount which ticked all the boxes for us.

Larchmount House is in an excellent location to get into the Walled City. Pamela cooked a delicious breakfast each morning and this was served in a stunning conservatory. Pamela is a wonderful host.

Breakfast was terrific! Our host, Pamela, is wonderful! The accommodations are fabulous! The location is beautiful! The only negative is that, due to our hurried schedule, we weren't able to stay longer. This is such a welcoming and comfortable place to stay, I can't imagine anyone not liking it.

While it was not a negative for us, if you have trouble with stairs this may not be the place for you. Also, we had a rental car so the fact that the location is four or so miles from Derry central was not an issue for us.

Beautiful house in an idyllic countryside, like something out of a film.

The house was absolutely stunning and the setting was just beautiful. Location was ideal for us as I was getting married in Beech Hill Country House the following day. Pamela was the best host… she made sure we had everything we needed. And the breakfast was perfect!

Wonderful, simply the most beautiful place.

The property was AMAZING! We had the entire loft area which was large yet cosy, comfy beds and lots of warm blankets. The breakfast was sensational, we felt quite special sitting out in the glass observatory. Wonderful stay, our favourite accomodation whilst in Ireland .

Quirky room with low head room at the top of the house .. definitely not for anyone tall or with mobility problems… no TV in the room but as the only guests you have use of the tv downstairs in the lounge. Large bathroom but fitted with odd outdated shower cubicle. No mirrors at eye level

Charming B&B insulating you from the city hustle

Very cute room and Pamela is an amazing host. Breakfast was great and she did a great job accomodating our gluten free needs! The sunroom off the side of the house was a great place to enjoy an evening tea and read for a bit.

We loved everything about this place! Room is on the 3rd floor which we didn't mind but some might take caution.
