Lovely place to stay

The property was very cosy and had everything you needed. We self catered and it was well stocked. Fiona was lovely and very friendly and helpful. Great location for Loch Lomond and the surrounding area.

A cosy cottage in a great location for exploring Loch Lomond

The property was cosy and welcoming and very well equipped. There was an outside area which we didn't use because of the weather but would have been lovely on a sunny day. There was off road parking just outside the property. The host was on hand to show us around and explain the facilities. She suggested places to visit and where to eat which was really helpful. It was an easy walk into town to restaurants and the boat trips. There was also a lovely park nearby with great views of Loch Lomond which we enjoyed exploring. The area was relatively quiet, the property was situated just off the main road into Balloch, but once in the house you couldn't hear the traffic. The position of the house was great for exploring the local area, including Luss and Balmaha.

Cosy traditional cottage

The cottage is unique and historical, it's built over a stream because it used to be a working smithy. The cottage is so cosy and well furnished with a Highlands theme. Both bedrooms are a good size, comfy with en suite. The living room and kitchen have everything you need to make it a home from home and the host is lovely and welcoming.

Beautiful home with great location

Such a beautiful home! Spacious, beautiful yard, and super friendly host. She has 2 super friendly dogs too that sometimes are out in the yard. Highly recommended and will stay again. Right at Loch Lomond Visitor Center. 2 minutes to supermarket co-op.

The host was there to meet us. She was very friendly and helpful. The cottage was very equipped, clean and comfortable. It was within walking distance of shops and restaurants. We would definitely return

Great location. Very cute. Built over a stream which you can hear from the bedroom. So relaxing! Parking available on site. Lots of room. Spotlessly clean. Lovely and cosy. Loved having the two bathrooms. TV and Internet were great. Tvs in every room which was great with the children. Hairdryers, iron... Everything you need. Fiona was really helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay again. Great for exploring the Loch Lomond region. We had a wedding in Cameron House so it was ideal. Only 5 minute walk from Coop supermarket. Lots of places to eat and drink in Balloch. Super stay.

It was a home from home. Comfortable, with everything you needed. Fiona gave us lots of recommendations that proved to be excellent advice. A great base to explore Stirling and the Trossocks. Balloch is a great base on Loch Lomond shores. Plenty of restaurants, bars and shops.

My friend wants to book it for his return trip to Loch Lomond next summer, very good value for money

TBH I wasnt really sure what to expect. When I booked this I was booking just for me then a friends accommodation cancelled so I took my friend with me too. It was not clear from the Booking.com description that the bedrooms are adjoining so you have to go through one to get to another. This is all fine if parent/s and child but not so great for two adults sharing. Thankfully Fiona explained the set up in email so we both knew to pack some pyjamas. There are two shower rooms so that was great we did not have to share. To be clear you go through the single room to get to the double room which is en suite. Washing machine provided which is great if swimming or walking and you get muddy. TV provided by Virgin Media which caused some complications for me but if you're used to using two remotes to control a TV you'll be fine. I wasnt sure if I could log into my own Netflix account or if I'd delete the owners account so if you want to watch that probably worth checking. Wifi was plenty strong enough for my friend and I who both had to log on to do some work while we were there. Very clean which is reassuring in these Covid days. I'm not planning a return visit to Loch Lomond (which is stunning) but my friend will be back next year and wants to book this accommodation. Pretty stream in the small garden and you could have had your glass of wine or morning tea sitting beside it. Parking available.

Too many air fresheners. We had to unplug the overpowering air freshener it had both of us sneezing, there were two other stand lone air fresheners which ended up in a drawer. Really overpowering in a small environment even with all the windows open. These next two points are being picky because on the whole this was a great place and very good value for money but giving the feedback for consideration. The bathroom could do with a magnifying mirror for those of us older ladies that need to see to do our make up ;) We were there during a heatwave (yes in Scotland) we could have done with a fan for each bedroom. We alternated nights with it.
