Good low budget accommodation. Not sure I’d stay again though due to shower issue not being resolved.

Mostly quiet location (except for gardener, when I was trying to nap). Short walk to restaurants, cafes and massages etc. Good value for money, basic accommodation.

In room one the shower was not very warm. I reported this and was told it was fine, when it really wasn’t. Great if you like having goosebumps whilst showering, but I don’t. My friend’s shower was fine.

A great option if you're not a light sleeper

Location is amazing and walking distance to everything. Huge bathroom and shower area. More than enough room in the room for luggage and storage. Great pool and tanning area. Great value for money. The only reason I rate 7/10 is for the lack of sound proofing in the rooms.

These rooms are not soundproof at all. You can hear absolutely everything. I am a very light sleeper and experienced a lot of disruption during the night which is the reason for my rating.

Perfect stay

The location was ideal, very central yet in a quiet area. The staff were incredibly nice and kind, the bed was super comfortable, bathroom was big, and everything was spotless. Couldn’t have asked for more!

Disappointing Experience – Poor Communication and Dirty Room.

Our stay at this property was very disappointing and negatively impacted our overall experience in Bali. Before arrival, I informed the hotel that our flight was delayed and that we needed help with transportation. They replied saying it was “noted,” but never contacted the driver, leaving us stranded upon arrival. I reserved two rooms. Room 2 was okay. Clean and decent for the price, so no complaints there. However, Room 1 was a disaster. It was dirty, with stained bed sheets, grayish towels that were supposed to be white, and a bathroom with a barely functioning flush. The room was also infested with ants, and their “solution” was to throw naphthalene pills around, making the air unbearably toxic. I contacted the owner via WhatsApp for help but received no reply at all. The staff member who charged me spoke very limited English and almost charged me twice. I had to show my credit card statement to prove I had already paid. After a sleepless night in a stinky room, I told the staff we couldn't take the smell anymore. Her response was: “But you don’t have ants now.” That kind of attitude was truly shocking. We decided to cut our stay short by a night, even though we still had to pay for the unused night in both rooms. The whole experience genuinely ruined our time in Bali. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this level of neglect, poor communication, and lack of hygiene deserves to be noted. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves the property and service for future guests.

It was perfect, already planning to come back.

Their staff Putu was super nice and welcoming. We arrived about 2 hours earlier than our check-in so we asked if we could leave our bags so we can have lunch outside. Putu catered to our needs and told us we can check-in in the next hour as she's almost done cleaning the room. The whole property and the room itself felt clean and quiet. The bed was very big and comfortable and the air condition was working properly. The pool was a nice bonus. The best thing about the room is the amount of space you get, even the shower room felt like a whole room with how huge it is.

The only improvement I can think of is the shower heater. It just took some time to get heated so we always turn it on a minute before we take a shower.

Nice, quiet respite in the middle of Canggu.

Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Everything was very clean. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. Pool was refreshing. There was water available for tea and coffee which was free in the kitchen.

Would absolutely be back!

I have LOVED my stay at Canggu Bagus! Prime location, can walk to the closest beach + many restaurants available within walking distance. Located in a small street off the main road so really calm (though there is construction going on next to the hotel at the moment but that’s everywhere in Bali). The staff was really really sweet, room very spacious, excellent wifi, and the pool felt like a little oasis.

The way the building is built: if you are in your room during the day and want privacy, you’ll need to have your curtains closed - but that’s honestly a detail.

Such a perfect place to stay, in the heart of Canggu. Clean, comfortable and quiet The staff are also very friendly.

I would give this property 10 but the pool looked a little dirty so we didn’t use it and the ongoing daily battle with ants in the room became a little annoying. Staff were quick to provide big spray when asked and this kept them at bay until the next day.

I couldn’t pay by card, like they promise, only cash. Location is correct, but you need to walk about 200 meters forward and it’s not obvious. And I was unlucky, there were very noisy neighbors, when I was this place

A lovely establishment in a great location

- Really lovely staff - great location - quiet (from a traffic POV) - good sized rooms - excellent aircon - water to refill bottles and some kitchen facilities

These are very minor but noteworthy: - I think there is a rental property next door and they were super loud (music and chatter). Not the fault of the Canggu Bagus but noted in case the property wants to look into it. - the pool had some dirt and debris on the bottom for most of my 5 day stay. - there is no signage for the Canggu Bagus at the top of the road - a bit confusing when I first arrived.

Wonderful

5 star hotel at the price of a 3 star hotel. Excellent location, located just next to the main Road of Changgu, but in a nearby street so far from the noise. Close to all cafes and restaurants, the beach is just 15 min walk. Good swimming pool with towels. clean room with large beds and a large shower. Very kind and helpful staff. I highly recommend this place

A perfect stay in the heart of Canggu

This has to be one of the best places we stayed in Bali! The rooms & bathrooms are spacious and finished to a high standard (including a lovely hot shower!). The staff offered to clean our room daily and really went above and beyond to help us with whatever we need, including sourcing a hairdryer and assisting with a lift to the airport. They were always so quick to respond and keep the place immaculately clean. The pool is also lovely, it’s a super tranquil place to relax and gets the perfect amount of sun / shade. This is by far the best value for money accommodation we have found in Bali, and the location is also perfect - we can’t wait to come back!

Simple, very fairly priced.

This is a guest house, not a hotel. Therefore do not expect so much. I paid a very very fair price without breakfast and booked a twin bed room. Therefore no tv, no kettle and cups inside the room. But I have no problem with that as wifi is superb. Room's curtain is great, totally blocked the sun during day time. Reading from others'review I brought my own toileteries, hand soap, hairdryer and my own pool towel. Shower head is fixed on the wall, so please bring your own shower cap too. However, I liked the place very much, in central, lots of cafes, therefore no problem for meal from breakfast to dinner, and yet still quiet. The pool is clean and pool water is clear. No pool towel but they give you room towel. Garden is green and nice. Shower and toilet is very spacious. Room cleaning is conducted everyday. Staff(cleaner) will be around from 08.30 to 18.00, if you need them. When you are out open your curtain, so staff knows you are not around and they can service your room. There is a water dispenser situated in the kitchen which connect at the dining table in the pool area. Please bring your own water bottle, you can refill it at the dispenser. The dispenser also has hot water to make coffee and tea. Local coffee and sugar is provided for free. There are two refrigerators, you may asked which one to be used. I enjoy this place very very much.
