A perfect place to work and to relax - in walking distance to many restaurants

The welcome and even the contacts before my arrival were just perfect. Henk is an attentive host: His hints and tipps for restaurants and shopping were more than helpful. The studio is practically furnished and elegantly furnished. So there was plenty of space for my study work and eating together with my sister who visited me. Last but not least the Illy coffee machine produces wonderful tasting strong coffee .... and I never experienced a shortage of capsules - thank Henk :-) The tranquillity of Ambachtstraat is heavenly! I shall return when I'll be back to Utrecht University.

The only thing that could be improved is the storage space in the two large wardrobes (there really are enough clothes hangers but no free shelfs - all were occupied by microwave, tableware ...). Not a big thing. Fortunately there are many big lounge furniture ...

close to the center but no toilet of your own

Henk was a very nice and helpful host, the room is located very central and very quiet!

We didn't realize when booking, that the toilette was outside the room and shared with other guests. Therefore the room was overpriced.

I would not suggest to go there. The price is to high compared to the services you have.

The position is very convenient to walk through the city center.

It is not explicit that the bathroom is shared and it seems absurd to me for the price I paid. The heating was turned on upon my arrival and the first night the room was very cold. There was no breakfast included even if the structure looks like a bed & breakfast. Usually when there is no breakfast on site they should provide you with vouchers for a nearby bar but this was not provided for either. Finally the shower is made by opaque glasses overlooking the inner courtyard, there is no real privacy.

A hidden room in the centre of the city

A very cosy room with everything you need for a short stay in Utrecht. Centrally located. The host is extremly nice and ready to help all the time.

Superb

We've been to Utrecht for a weekend and couldn't have found a better acommodation. The "Zocher" is situated only a few steps from all points of interest, bars, restaurants etc. but also quite and cosy to take a breath and leave the city life outside. The apartment itself is designed with an astonishing view for the detail, everything is composed very tastefully, there's lots of glass (which may make it a bit cold in the wintertime), and a nice little private terrace. If you prefer individuality and design to anonymous "perfect" hotel rooms, this is the right choice for sure. Henk is a great host, always there for a nice chat or recommendations, who makes you feel very welcome in his house. Dank u well and see you again!

The location was great and it was interesting to stay in just a regular house. The modernization solutions that Henk installed are really clever! The tiny inner court yard watched over by two cats is delightful.

I thought that there would be a breakfast, since it refers to itself as a "pension". You can make yourself a small breakfast - all the equpiment is there. or you can go out - breakfast cafes are only minutes away on foot.

Au cœur d'Utrecht mais bien au calme

L'accueil de Henk, un hôte parfait: chaleureux et serviable, sans s'imposer. L'emplacement est également super, à deux pas de la cathédrale, dont on entend la cloche sonner l'heure (pas trop fort...). L'appartement est en plus très calme, et proche de commerces et des transports publics.

Perfecte locatie voor een weekend Utrecht Centrum.

Host Henk heeft is gastvrij en behulpzaam. Hij verteld graag en geeft graag tips over eet-locaties of andere suggesties om te ondernemen. De locatie is perfect om centrum Utrecht te bezoeken, alles is op loopafstand. De straat waarin het ligt is een mooie, rustige straat die netjes en vriendelijk oogt. De faciliteiten op de kamer zijn prima met mooie koffiemachine, koelkast, magnetron etc. Henk is behulpzaam en reageerde direct op ons verzoek om stroom bij het 2e bed.

Het terras is netjes, op een binnenplaats onder ramen van de buren. De foto op de site is slim genomen maar geeft het idee van een idyllisch terrasje, dat is het niet. De doucheruimte met toilet is netjes maar creatief met uitsluitend een regendouche maar daar geeft Henk douchekapjes voor. Alles omsloten met ramen die blinderen dus (blijkbaar) van buiten naar binnen geen zicht geven.

Ondanks dat je hartje centrum zit is het heerlijk rustig.

Wij hadden bij een B&B ontbijt verwacht, waardoor we de prijs kwaliteit verhouding wat minder vinden.

Néanmoins heureux d'avoir eu ce pied à terre à Utrech,aux dates ou nous en avions besoin !

LE FAIT QUE CELA SOIT BIEN SITUE !

Établissement qui ne correspondait pas à nos attentes, à ce à quoi nous avions l'habitude : pièces bien différenciées. Le toilette était privé mais il fallait sortir dans un couloir de circulation commune à d'autres personnes, de plus celui ci était encombré... La douche était à coté du lit ce qui ne permettait pas de ce doucher sans réveiller le conjoint ! Et le point cuisine a coté du lit, donc lorsque l'on fait frire du jambon et des œufs l'odeur se répand dans toute la pièce... L'ensemble de la décoration était sombre à notre gout. De plus une intimité difficile dans ce logement le soir ou le matin; les fenêtres étant en opposition permettent de voir à l’intérieur lorsque l'on allume... Accés en voiture, très complexe lorsque l'on est étranger.
