Hotel by Hyve Basel

The room was big enough and comfortable. The check in and out was very easy to follow. The hotel is 30 min walking from the city centre, which was quite a nice walk. We also received free passes for using public transportation and we appreciated the benefit.

It was not clear that I need to book one of the 2 available parking places, and we had to park the car in a nearby parking area where we had to pay (even though I must thank the person at the reception for the kind advise to find the closest car park). The climate unit in the room was not working and when we initially entered the room there were 28 degrees inside. luckily, the evening was chilly and with the window open we could refresh.

Our room did not have Kitchen.

Conveniently located only a few minutes' walk from the train station on a quiet street, offering easy access to the center of Basel. We stayed in a four-person apartment that featured two separate, adequately sized sleeping areas and a small living room space with a table and four chairs. The property was immaculately clean. Additionally, the online registration and app-based keyless entry allowed us to go straight to our room without needing to stop by the front desk.

Only three coffee cups were provided for a four-person apartment. There was no actual refrigerator, just a tiny portable cooler that didn't work well. The bathroom was also quite spartan, lacking any extra counter space or shelves to place toiletries.
