I feel this place is overpriced. It is dated at a poor condition. Not very clean. Very loud. You can hear your neighbors using their bathrooms, for example. This place rates high for a convenience, but otherwise I would pass. I think you can get better value for your money elsewhere.

Easy self check-in. Simple rooms with ample amenities that is most importantly clean. Location was great as it is near to the train station and yet not noisy or unsafe. There is a small convenience store just next to it. The only inconvenience was there was no kettle in the room so you have to go downstairs' to dispense hot water. Since there are no staff in operation - be prepared to store your luggage at the train station if you arrive too early

No contact information in room if you had any questions. The QR code didnt work. Baselcard (free public transport) which ALL Basel hotel rooms are entitled to, were not issued until 8 hours after we had to email and ask for them. Only 1 Euro power socket in the entire room. Property was clean and had free tea and coffee.

For the amount of money to stay for a night, I was greatly disappointed. The bathroom hadn’t seen a proper deep clean in I don’t even know how long (you can tell with all the mildew buildup). And the pillows were not pillows. I had to grab the towels in the bathroom and use those as pillows. Considering I decided to stay the night in Basel to get some rest before another day of traveling, this was extremely upsetting

Love the convenience of the location. The floor plan was unexpected but great; charming. Loved having the two bathrooms (one full, one half). Wish it had air conditioning. It was warm and stuffy when we arrived.

I liked how convenient it was to parking. It seemed like a free parking pass was provided, however, there were no instructions and ultimately it did not work. The Basel pass was a nice touch, however, I was only there for an overnight and was not able to use it. I was unaware that there would be no reception desk. This is a huge drawback.

Such a noisy place, and had requested a quietly sited room! The hotel is just about on the road, just a narrow pavement. Also can hear the trams all through the night. Bin men early in the morning, oh and the bins have an unpleasant smell.

There was no one to help. Pushing the button outside only made a person open the outside door. But no one to talk to in order to figure out registration machine. The email they were supposed to send the day before was in German. No air. Bad lock on door. No safety whatever. Bathroom was nice!

Situation: Arrived at Basel airport to late to get train home. Website said a person would be there to great me, no person- it’s was a machine check in. The room number (A2) doesn’t match the lift & door labels (OG2)… and 1 am I was not very patient for this system. Room was clean, bed was very narrow but comfortable, breakfast was good, but odd system. Very noisy building. You can hear everyones voice in hall way, and cleaners start hovering at 8:45am.

Rooms are very noisy. If someone closes a door, you can hear it in your room. Rooms itself are okay, nothing special. Bathroom looked nice at first, but if you look closely you see its a little old. Location is very near to the station and not too far from the city, but its not the best location. There is no reception. When you enter the hotel, there is no one there.

Perfect location and very clean. Room was a bit too warm at night but opening the window meant noise from outside made sleeping difficult. Whilst the check-in was relatively straightforward, I'm not sure having no staff present is a good option. Breakfast was nice although the room that the food and drink is kept in can get a little crowded (i.e. if more than one person is in) Overall, great value for money and would stay again.

Fine for overnight but for longer it’s a bit impersonal having no reception staff. Good to have easy checkout - just need to leave the door-key in the return box. They should advise beforehand that you need your passport number for check-in.

Beautiful room and very convenient location to everything. We had the quadruple bedroom that is almost similar to an apartment. A second bedroom upstairs, skylight that opens, so fresh breeze can get in. Very few human contact with the staff. Nobody was there to help us get a quick tour of the hotel. Except the maintenance lady who spoke very little English. She seems to do all the work. Breakfast is great!

Pleasant if unremarkable. Automated check-in and I didn't meet any of the staff who do the cleaning of prepare the breakfast which is also a mixture of self-service and automation. Good place to be as bus to and from the airport stops in front of the Basel SBB main station. Plenty of trams, buses and taxis to get into Basel, although its a 20 minute easy downhill walk to the river. People here seem to go to bed early and get up early. Plumbing gurgles in the morning, so I awoke before my alarm clock went off. Although well signposted, its easy to walk past the front door without noticing it. Breakfast is self-catering and some items are in the cupboards below the preparation surfaces.

A decent hotel for a good price. The location is perfect for a sightseeing holiday or any business in the city centre. The bus to/from the airport stops round the corner, the train station is also very near, and it's only a 15 minutes walk from the main tourist attractions. I was a bit worried about the check-in at the machine but it worked just fine. The room was well equipped and clean. The only thing I missed was an air conditioner - but these are generally rare in Basel, so be prepared for some unpleasantly high temperatures. I should mention that the 'toiletries provided' means a dispenser with all-in-one detergent serving as soap, shower gel and shampoo. It worked fine for me, even for the hair, but if you feel like your hair needs real shampoo, better bring your own. The breakfast was filling and tasted good. However, bear in mind that this is a Swiss style breakfast which differs from what one usually gets in UK hotels. There is fresh German style bread, rolls and croissants, but there is no toast, and no toaster for that matter. There isn't any warm food, just cereals, salami, cheese and chilled boiled eggs. The hotel has a Nespresso machine, so the coffee is decent. There is milk and cream to go with the coffee, but it cannot be heated or frothed. I haven't tried the tea, but it's generally not so good in German speaking lands because they all drink herbal teas. The breakfast is completely self-service, so it takes a while to figure out where what food is kept.
