Tidy room, cleaned every day. Quite hot for me but air con worked fine and left the window open to keep cool. Staff extremely helpful and very polite, even went to get plasters as my wife cut her knee. Did not have breakfast so can not comment.

We were allowed to store our luggages in a locked room before check in. We didn’t have the correct adapter for charging phones and the receptionist lend us an adapter. In the end we purchased it from the hotel. She was very helpful and cheerful all the time. The hotel is nearby to train station. Breakfast was excellent.

Very efficient check-in with Basel Card issued. Basic, clean room with all needed amenities for a short stay. Very well located near the main train station and the tram is just outside. Breakfast had a very good selection of both hot and cold choices. A good choice, thank you.

Position of the shower head points towards the door. After taking a shower water was all over the floor outside meaning there must be a leak or that the door is not well insulated to prevent water from flowing out. Mat towel was wet and had to wipe dry the floor. What an inconvenience.

Great hotel near the SBB station. Staff super friendly and helpful. We stayed there one night before getting to the airport the next morning. They also offer a city : free access to public transportation. So you don't have to pay for the bus to the airport.

We stayed overnight en route to Italy, so didn't need much. We appreciated the luggage storage service. The elevator is tiny, barely large enough for 2 people and their bags. It was clean and conveniently located to the train station.

Everything was clean and good taken care for. Desk personal were very friendly and fluent in different languages! Breakfast was good, choice of a broad variaty of both bread and yoghurts. While internet refused to work on my phone I had difficulties in finding the location…. But it is really close to the railway station and the inner town is within walking distance. I likes the place!

Check in was straightforward. We were there earlier than we thought we'd be, and exhausted after our flight. I asked if we could check in early. The answer was yes, for Sfr. 30. I said yes because we were so tired. I feel that was a lot, as the room was not that cheap. But in the long run, what price can you put on a nap? The two ladies at the desk in the evening were super friendly and helpful. The room was compact but very clean.

We checked in at the front desk and took an elevator to our room. We enjoyed seeing Basal the next day using free public transportation. It is a very nice town. We chose not to have breakfast, but I didn’t see where you could grab a cup of coffee. There was no coffee or tea in our room.

We picked this hotel based on location and the many mentions of the helpful staff. The staff is amazing and Danielle at the front desk helped us arrange our lodging in Lucerne, provided detailed info about the train options to Colmar, Lucerne, and then Paris. The location proved as a great “home base” for our day trips. The 16 tram is right outside the front door, the “local” side of the train station is walking distance. For our trip to Paris we took a different tram to the front side of the train station where trains to Paris left from. You could walk through the back/local side but we had large luggage. The rooms were clean and bright, left luggage was easy to arrange, there are lots of dining options nearby, the TV had English options, there is a hairdryer supplied, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is fine but it is the knowledgeable, kind staff that makes this hotel shine! We look forward to returning!

It’s so close to the central station, there’s a lot of dining options in the area, and there’s also a tram that pass by. Very accessible to a lot of places.

Ideally situated (for us at least) by the main station but still within walking distance to the main town. Staff were very friendly (and very patient in putting up with my attempt to try German!). First time in an Ibis and would definitely try one again based on our experience in Basel. No kettle in the room which was a shame but seemed to be the standard in Switzerland based on our other hotel stays!
