Perfect location, accomodation and hosts!

What can I say? The perfect accommodation for myself and two friends while we were cycling in the area. The location and the accommodation itself were both ideal. Catherine and Serge were absolutely wonderful—warm, friendly, and incredibly welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for better hosts. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful property, perfect for walking to town. Wonderful hosts.

WOW, what a beautiful place, i have visited Bayeux before but so glad I found this home from home. The parking is super easy, I drive a Ford Ranger pick up and easily backed into the private parking. Downstairs bedroom has its own en-suite, and was perfect for my 75 year old uncle. Its a 15min walk into the centre, easy walk with a 75yr old, the hosts Catherine and Serge are absolutely lovely, very warm welcome and always on hand to chat or help. The property is so cosy, but with high ceilings and a large sitting room which gives a peaceful feeling of space. Its just perfect for 2-4 people, upstairs would suit able bodied people due to the stairs, I'm 51 and had no issues at all, it has a bath in the bedroom! loved it! the jardin/garden is so peaceful we both didn't want to return home. The kitchen is so cool, big glass doors across the back give it a light feeling, big table and all you need fitted. Coffee machine, a dishwasher, free WIFI, everything you need to be set up for a days exploring the beaches and surrounding areas.

Nothing we loved it. Hopefully be back again.

Lovely place to stay

Serge and Kathy were the most welcoming hosts. The house is very well equipped and beautifully refurbished. Location - within 5 minutes walk of the centre of Bayeux - could not have been better.

The bath in the upstairs bedroom was lovely but a proper handsfree shower would have been useful. We chose this place as it had two ensuite bathrooms but we all ended up using the one with the shower.

The most wonderful B&B

We loved staying at Les Lilas de Bellefontaine. The guesthouse is absolutely beautiful and so is the garden. Catherine and Serge took such good care of us, beeing so nice and helpful. The breakfast that you can buy extra was wonderful, always with something extra like homemade jam and yoghurt, fresh fruit, local cheese, something sweet…we could go on and on… We really recommend this place and would love to come back someday.

our best stay yet in a 3 week trip

Beautiful stone townhouse that the very kind owners wonderfully restored. Full kitchen and living room. Breakfast was spectacular with many items from their garden. Also very helpful with WW2 and Bayeux questions.

Exceptional

This stay was one of the highlights of our entire trip! The house is so charming, with lots of room to spread out. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and sweet! We are so thankful we stumbled across this gem. We want to go back just to stay a week at the property!

The location was fantastic. Within easy walking distance of the town. The area was very quiet considering there is a school just up the road. The garden of the house was lovely and there was enough room for the 5 of us to live comfortably for the week. The owners of the property live just next door and were marvellous. Very welcoming on our arrival and we were treated to grapes from their own vines, a tipple of Calvados Cider and even pancakes for breakfast one morning! The kitchen facilities were modern and sufficient for our needs. All linen and toiletries were also provided by the hosts which was great for us as we were travelling on motorbikes so space is a premium! All in all, we would definitely book to stay again. Thank you Catherine and Serge for your kindness throughout our stay.

The only thing which didn't work for us as a group of friends (two couples and one single) was the fact the single room could only access a bathroom through one of the other two bedrooms. We also had to go through the single room to reach our bedroom and bathroom. To be fair, if you're a family staying here this wouldn't be a problem but for us it wasn't ideal.

This is a very clean and comfortable stay. Perfect for touring Bayeux and relaxing at night.

This flat is the perfect location to see Bayeux and the surrounding areas. The townhouse has been refurbished to a very high standard. The garden is perfect to enjoy a drink or meal after a day of touring. The kitchen was stocked with equipment for meals, if you want to. It was great to be able to go to French market in morning and get local breads vegetables cheeses meat etc. And cook. There is also the option to get a breakfast from the owners. There was a bath on the top floor which was lovely to have a hot bath with a tea at night. Also having a washing machine was ideal for us as a family. Wi fi worked great (good for kids). I would come back again.

The one minor point was that we could not find the outdoor rubbish bins to unload our rubbish.

Catherine and Serge are wonderful hosts. They made us feel at home right away. My wife and I loved the upstairs room and living area in the guest house, their beautiful breakfast room, yard and garden, and their two very cute bunnies that run around the yard! We also appreciated being able to park in their gated driveway. Catherine's and Serge's breakfasts were delicious. It was an easy walk into the center of Bayeux to sights, restaurants, and catching the Bayeux Shuttle to the D-Day sites. We would definitely stay with them again.

It is hard to express how welcoming and friendly Catherine & Serge are as hosts... They made our stay 😊 Excellent location to see the Bayeux Tapestry and visit WWII beaches. We had a very comfortable room, tastefully decorated. Plus, we had access to a private living-room and kitchen overlooking their gorgeous grounds. Free parking on premises. Breakfast was excellent/delicious, with eggs from their own garden and a variety of fresh local produce. Catherine was so kind to allow me to practise my beginner French while Serge helped us to plan efficiently our visit to the Normandy Beaches; both sharing useful information and booking restaurants for us. We can Highly recommend staying here and we would love to come back. Merci mille fois pour tout😊
