Room was very tired and dated - very dark and dated decor - concrete chip on walls. Skirting boards and around window very dirty and stained. Bathroom sink - unpleasant drain smell. Toilet in separate room - very small and difficult to manoeuvre in and close door - doors very old and stained. Really disappointed in room - booked the novotel as expected a high standard but have stayed in some budget hotels as part of my trip and much better standard.

Great stay in the beautiful Normandy

I visited Bayeux in late August. I chose the hotel because of the good location for exiting the town towards the D-Day beaches Mont-Saint Michel and the Normandy countryside. The hotel is located close to the one end of the city but you can easily walk to the center of Bayeux in 15 - 20 min. Also the hotel have big parking and I needed a good parking for the rental car that I was using. The staff was very helpful and friendly and ready to assist you in anyway. I needed help couple of times and every time they helped me (e.g. I asked for a cheese store and the man on the reception looked in internet and gave me the street address and name of the store). The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean and with good size. The breakfast was good and you have good choice - scrambled eggs, chesses, ham, beans ( I suppose the beans were for the Englishmen who are visiting so they can have English breakfast). Also you can eat French croissants and more.

The strange thing is that one day after I took a shower I notice a spot on the towel. That part did not left good impression in me. Also I think that maybe some tomatoes in the morning will be good addition.

Excellent staff, very good food and very comfortable rooms. Lots of parking, walking distance of Bayeux and provides an excellent location to explore the area. Really nice garden at the rear of the hotel - the gardner should be congratulated. Nice swimming pool. Would very happily stay again. We were very fortunate to choose the hotel on the basis of the parking!

The hotel was great, the outdoor heated pool was a bonus. The hotel is conveniently located to walk into the City centre so no need to walk into town.

The restaurant service was terrible. The staff were doing there best but there were not enough of them and they were pooly organised.

Rooms are a good size, comfortable and clean. Walking distance to central town and restaurants. Nice sitting area near the bar in the evening for a drink after a full day of touring.

Easy access hotel with car parking. Very friendly and helpful staff, good size and comfortable rooms. The hotel is about 15 -20 minute walk to the city centre, so easy to see the Cathedral, Tapestry and beautiful city. The Museum is reasonably close too. From Bayeux it is about 20-30 minutes drive to Caen and the Normandy beaches for further sightseeing.

Bathrooms have shower/bath which is quite high, so may not suit young children nor the more elderly. No mini bar in the room, no bottled water, although these are not a priority.

Nice place to stay when visiting Bayeux.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Fast check in and check out. The lady at the reception was very helpful in recommending places for dinner. Parking available at hotel.

There was no mini fridge in the room, which would have been useful.
