Relaxing and enjoyable

The room and private bath were perfect for the night. There was a kettle and fresh water with a choice of teas and instant coffee available. There was also fresh fruit and snacks available. The bathroom was clean and pretty large. The owner did stop by to say hello and she was a lovely person. She gave me tips on local cafes and shops. The best part was that you could literally walk out the back of the property to the Cliffs of Moher. Unfortunately, the day I was there it was raining and very windy so I was unable to enjoy a walk out back. Overall, I loved my stay at Ocean View. I would totally recommend.

Warm and wonderful location run by the loveliest owner who knows how to treat her guests!

The property owner was just wonderful. Very kind and caring, and the most lovely tiny touches everywhere, from small notes to unexpected treats, fruit, candy, and baked goods for tea and coffee. She brought me cough drops in the morning when she heard I wasn't feeling well. The room is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean! The bed was warm and very comfortable, and the view was exceptional even in with wind and rain. It was just minutes from the Cliffs entrance, and I highly recommend it.

Location is great just 2km from Moher visitors center, there are cliffs just at 500m ahead. When arriving everything was ready for us.

Best hotel ever

Best, It was a bit of a tricky location to reach on foot, but it was only a 3-minute drive from the Cliffs of Moher, and waking up to the ocean view made everything absolutely perfect. The room’s interior was beautifully decorated and instantly put me in a good mood, and the food and handwritten note they prepared made me feel so welcomed. The host couple were incredibly kind and always greeted us with a smile, which made my whole experience in Ireland even more memorable. I’ve stayed in Airbnb homes in many different countries, but this one was truly the best — the kindest hosts ever!

It was cosy and the view was great. I can imagine on a sunny day the view from the room would probably be quite something. It was clean and well kept. That definitely helped me relax. 🙂 Hats off to the owners, they are doing a great job.

Lovely Stay

Proximity and view of the cliffs was amazing, Cliffs of Moher just up the road, Doolin very close with amazing restaurants. Great for one night. Welcome tray was such a lovely Gesture! Alex was delightful.

The bed was not very comfortable, the blanket was too hot, would’ve loved a top sheet but seems like it’s not a thing in Ireland (we stayed in various hotels and nowhere had a top sheet)

You won't regret staying here!

Daria and Patrick are the best hosts, they truly care and went above and beyond for me when I had last minute changes with my transit and giving me great information to get to their location by public transit. The location is also fantastic being so close to Cliffs of Moher and only 10 minutes or so from Doolin. The property has access to the Cliffs trail, but pack some good boots if you're planning on doing the walk. Just book it and enjoy the views!

Wonderful and clean place with beautiful view!!

Well located with great trail along the cliffs just in the back of the house. The hostess was absolutely amazing. Very welcoming with many great ideas and information about activities. She even placed in the room welcoming goodies upon our arrival.

The view by the ocean was magical- walk through the cow pasture to to see it and believe it.

This was the most magical property we stayed at. We walked down to the ocean through the cow pasture and the view we were met with surpassed anything we saw at the Cliffs of Moher. I will never forget it. And our delightful host was a joy to talk to and clearly cares for her property with so much love.

Very nice host and a beautiful room with a cosy bed. Some refreshments, fruits, drinks and porridge for a quick breakfast in the room. The place is very close to the cliffs. If you want a room with ocean view, you should ask before booking, because not all rooms have sea view.

Disappointing

The view from the room is very beautiful. The country feeling is lovely.

The building does not have proper access to Cliff of Moher. As you can see from the attached picture, the gate of their path clearly states, "Responsibility not accepted for loss or injury to Persons or their Belongings beyond this Point". Note that behind that point is the host's private property. Probably, people get injured on that path from time to time, as read in other comments. As a matter of fact, we could not reach the cliff of Moher through their suggested path. The reasons? electric fences surrounding their property, free cows (ok, they are sweet, but my partner was afraid because they are huge), holes in the ground, high grass, and paddles in the high grass. Second point: even if the host organized everything in a "clockwork" style (she is German, we know how they are precise people), the experience lacks human touch. The place is in the middle of nowhere, and you often need help or suggestions. She replies via booking IM with kind, useless, late messages. Last point: The high rate is apparently justified by a fabulous breakfast the host was serving in the past. Now, there is not breakfast. That was clear to me. However, this very high rate (9.5) is completely wrong in a "no breakfast scenario". Usually, not having breakfast is fine; you could go to a bar/grocery and get what you want. But not in the case you are in the middle of nowhere, and there is not a fridge in the room. I hope these comments can help the host to improve and the guest to choose wisely according to their expectations.

Nice place, although it is more like an Air B&B than like a traditional B&B.

The location was wonderful, the room was clean, and the view amazing.

It appears that Ocean View is still on Covid protocol. We retrieved a code to get our key, let ourselves in; some snacks appeared each day for the next day's breakfast - much appreciated - and then our stay was over. We never saw or spoke to anyone from Ocean View during our visit.

great location, great view, just some minor things that are good to know

easy check in, very clean, wonderful view of the water, owner is incredibly nice, conveniently located near Cliffs of Moher and centrally located between two little towns. Owner gave us a suggestion for a day trip a little ways away once we checked out and it turned out to be the most incredible day of our entire trip! very thankful for that.

they have farm animals so the rooster is up early making noise. there were no blinds on our large windows (they said they recently broke) but it’s a little odd no knowing if anyone can look in while you’re sleeping. and this is advertised as a B&B but there was no breakfast for our stay. I will say even with these things, we very much enjoyed our stay and the owners really try to make sure you enjoy your stay.
