This is a one of a kind property! It is just close enough to Portree if you need to get anything or want to spend some time shopping or grabbing a bite, but just far enough to really enjoy the majestic and utterly stunning views with complete peace and quiet. The rooms were clean a spacious, the bathrooms worked great, the kitchen is huge and the sun room deserves to be spent a whole lot of time in just living.
The chairs for the kitchen table, I really loved, but might be just a little large for the room. Also explain in the guide book how the heaters/radiators work so visitors know that it will turn on on its own. And for us uneducated, that the pull cords in the bathroom are there to turn the hot water on or off. And I didn’t like that I left my hat there…lol. I’m still embarrassed.

The property was incredibly nice. Comfortable, warm (we were coming from California so Scotland is cold even in the summer!), and very beautiful. We sat in the sunroom and enjoyed reading and viewed almost all of skye’s northern peninsula.
Nothing, it was a great home.

The sun room was the blessing of the stay, we saw some deer from the room and the scenery was picture perfect.
Loved everything.

Penguins and milk were great! Location was actually very convenient even though it was in the country.
Some crumbs in toaster/counter. Dresser in principal bedroom was too big for the space-blocked path. Everything else was great! Views were wonderful. Bathrooms very clean. Great place to stay!

It was a beautiful property and very spacious. We loved our nightly walks and appreciated 3 bathrooms!
The driveway had some bumps but it really wasn’t a problem. That would be our only critique - or maybe having fans inside the home as we got a little warm and couldn’t keep the windows open due to the midges. We loved it though!

Location was stunning! Very handy for Portree and many other sights. The house was perfect. Lovely welcome pack from the host! We arrived late so it was great to get in and make a cup of tea and have a glass of wine. We met our host and she was just lovely!
Absolutely nothing!

This location worked well for us since we had a car and wanted to be outside of Portree. This location is a short drive to Portree when you want to get dinner just be mindful of the limited parking options. Even with a car, it may be best to arrange for a taxi to go into town. Stags View lived up to its name -- there were deer around the property every day and seemed to enjoy staring at us through the open windows. Lots and lots of room to spread out and can accommodate a larger party. We had four adults and it was more than enough. The windows were covered enough not to wake us all up at 4am with the long days in Scotland. We were able to keep windows open at night to help keep cooler temperatures as it was well above normal temps during our stay. Easy access to drive around the Isle of Skye and see the sights. We predominantly hiked and were continuously amazed by the stunning scenery. At the house, the scenery was simply beautiful - hard to put into words just how stunning it is here - not just Isle of Skye but Scotland as a whole. We were able to make breakfast each morning before heading out and the kitchen provided all the tools you need although some need some TLC (i.e., handles on pans were very loose and wobbly). Jacquie was very responsive when we had some questions about the showers. Overall, a great place to stay if you want to be outside of Portree with easy access to the island.
Shower pressure was the lowest of any place we stayed at in Scotland. That may just be the way it is on Isle of Skye though, I'm not sure. The beds were okay comfort-wise although we tended to toss and turn more on these beds even after long days of hiking.

Location, clean, quiet, roomy, watching the deer.
The detergent used on sheets and pillow cases too perfumy. Had hard time regulating temp at night. Had to open windows. Issues with hot water.

We cooked all our meals in. Better knives are needed. More kitchen or paper towels would have been helpful. Better ice trays would also be a good addition.
We had to remove all the scented things in every room outside due to allergic reactions. Perhaps removing them entirely and using unscented laundry detergent and soaps would be a better experience for all your guests.

The home is beautiful and spacious and well appointed. The views are stunning. We were very happy with our choice and would highly recommend.
The address provided to us on Booking.com was incorrect. This resulted in is going to the wrong house. Since it was dark when we arrived and we couldn't get into the lockbox (wrong house wrong box) we had about 10 minutes of panic. However I messaged our host for help. Turns out she lives 2 minutes away and was waiting up for us! So she found us at the wrong house over to the correct house.
This was probably a Booking.com problem and the host was not at fault.

Unique location.
The host kept changing the temperature when we tried to adjust it, making it uncomfortable to stay in. Some of the bathrooms were also unbearably cold since air from the outside was seeping in.

The house was very spacious, tidy and very well equipped.
The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable.
We loved particularly the conservatory, which was a lovely area for tea and chat and appreciating the stunning sunset.
We also liked the area for drying clothes under the sun.
The shower unit in one of the bathrooms had rather slow drainage, so we had to turn off the tap in the middle of the bath to allow the water to drain for a while before continuing with the bath.
For the heater in the other bathroom, we spent some time to sort out how to turn it on.

beautifully situated to see animals and the wide skies of Sky.
The house was well thought through for a family or several people. the kitchen was great to cook in and the lounge and conservatory was fabulous. We appreciated the welcome pack so much with treats and practical foods.
the house was so clean. thanks for your hospitality. we covered from this central location both sides of the Isle and stayed for 6 days.
there are three bathrooms the middle bathroom had limited water pressure. No bother for us

It is self catering.
I contacted the host to report a very faulty electric shower( where one minute I was scalded, the next frozen) & a very loose toilet seat. She replied & said she’d look into the problem. I got no answer to my complaint. That shower was plain DANGEROUS. At the end of the stay she asked us to rate our stay “to maintain their high standards”. Huh! So I rate our stay poorly.

nice and warm… very good
there another home just before Stags. The door number is also 29…. it was around 9pm and pitch black. We by mistake drove into that house and found a granny inside…. 😱😱 it was scary as she was watching her tv with dim lights and the light are shining towards her face… but anyway we sorted it out and manage to find the house. Additional road signboards show do better.

relaxing views
central to the island
the stag and his herd passing by
no clothes dryer combined with a rainy day
made laundry difficult

location to places we wanted to
visit and was a good size
not enough towels or tea towels
No chopping board in kitchen
missing toilet brush
disappointed there weren’t more
extras like fresh milk, bread etc
considering the price paid I
expected the welcome pack to
be more. previous accommodation
have given wine biscuits cake etc
maybe I expect too much but
house was nearly £1000 for
3 nights and it’s the little extras
that make a difference. the
cleaning seemed rushed, you
could tell someone had checked
out that day

the location was idyllic and walking the county roads fabulous. The sun room was awesome loved watching the sun set. Loved catching site of the herd of stags from the front door. Great kitchen
more toilet paper, we also thought there would be soap etc....the hall shower went back and forth from hot to cold and was very diffivult to adjust

The house was very nice, clean, beautiful views and the location is great for exploring Skye (we had our own rental car)! We received good instructions and the house was easy to find, even though we arrived in the middle of the night.
This might just be our preference, but we found the bed sheets and the towels smelled too much of detergent/linen softener, and our clothes also caught on the smell.

Really great location on Isle of Skye next to portree. Really nice privacy and next to stag farm so you can see wildlife outside your window. Lots of space and big kitchen.
The showers need updating. The water does not have any pressure and barely comes out but it’s still manageable to take a shower.

The location was in the countryside near Portree
The only suggestion was to provide toilet brushes in the bathrooms.

Accommodation in a quiet location away from the city. There was plenty of space for the family to enjoy and there were also reading and board games. The high-speed internet was also pleasant, and the view of the Isle of skye from the window was the best. The host was also very friendly, who was generous and understood even though we made a reservation mistake. Furniture and furnishings were fully stocked, and although not brand new, they were well maintained. There is a deer farm behind the house, so it was fun to see deer coming down to the house from time to time. The sunset looking west through the conservatory is also superb.

Amazing views, easy to find with provided instructions. Simple check-in/check-out. Had just about everything you would need in house. Wish we could have stayed longer and would definitely stay here again. Grocery store/Town is just a short drive from the home.
could not find any paper towel or napkins.
