Family compound
I love the experience of staying in a family balines compound. The garden was absolutely beautiful, a very relaxing place to stay and lovely people. You can breathe hindu culture.

Excellent location, lovely relaxed setting and great value
The location is excellent and allowed us to easily walk to the centre of Ubud. There is a medium sized supermarket very close by and I highly recommend Warung Makan, which is not far, for breakfast. The Fersy laundry is also very close and convenient with full service so you just drop off your laundry and pick it up later that day. The swimming pool is lovely and everything is surrounded by a nice garden.
The mattress on the bed was a bit too hard for our liking. You may also be slightly disturbed by the crowing of the rooster from a nearby property that starts at about 5:45 AM (in summer). I noticed that ear plugs were supplied (I guess to stop water when swimming) so you could use them but we didn't mind the rooster so this wasn't an issue for us.

Really great stay
Really beautiful space, simple, clean room, modern elements but the pool and outside area were beautiful and natural. Staff were friendly and attentive. Location was also perfect to access central ubud but also to head out to waterfalls/rice terraces etc.
Nothing. Maybe a little noisy when the fire dancing shows were on or with roosters in the morning but you get that pretty much anywhere and didn't detract for me.

Huge and comfy room. Super clean. Good AC. Having a fridge is always a bonus. Offered to clean room every day. Lovely cold pool. Staff so helpful and friendly. 5 mins walk into the main part of Ubud

We stayed for 3 nights and loved it!! The rooms had everything we needed and were super clean. The pool and grounds of the hotel were well looked after and it was really nice for relaxing. The staff were very attentive and helped with anything we needed. Close walk to the main restaurants. We would 100% recommend to anyone!

The place is truly magnificent, a typical Balinese house. It is a few minutes from the center but in a very quiet and peaceful area. The room is clean and spacious. The bed very comfortable. The swimming pool is surrounded by greenery. Unbeatable value for money. The owner is very kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

you will get no sleep
The room is nice you have a separate toilet. The Bed is comfortable. The AC has a good position so you can leave it on during night. The Pool is nice
Somewhere next to the stay there is something like a temple and they where doing like a ceremony it was so loud till 1 am.
At 5:30am there was a male chicken extremely loud so you can’t sleep anymore and I have personal ear plugs but there was no chance for sleep.

Simple and quiet accommodation in center of Ubud
- The location. It is in the center of Ubud, right behind the Ubud palace and close to Ubud market. Jl. Suweta.
- Separate shower and toilet
- Quiet and peaceful
- Clean
- Parking area is narrow, but inside the garage with roof (safe from rain)
- Wi-fi connection sometimes slow, but still running
- No food at the premises, but you can walk to nearby cafes and restaurants. Even close to Indomaret convenient store.
- One of the sugar sachets in the room is already spoiled, maybe need to check the amenities prior to guest arrival

The location is good, close to everything and the place is beautiful and quiet. The room was comfortable and clened daily. The guy who owned the place was waiting for us and was very willing to help with anything.
The indoor humidity was high, maybe because of the area. But we could feel it.

Nice hotel, not far from the center. The host is very nice and tries to help in organising (should you need to rent a motor bike for example).
We had to ask to change room because of the humidity in the room. The host was very understanding and offered us another room that was much better and we didn’t have to pay extra. Thanks!

Great spot for central Ubud
We had a fantastic stay, the rooms are large and comfortable and the pool is wonderful. The hosts were very helpful too. Great value for money. Only a ten minute walk into Ubud market.

Very new hotel, nice modern rooms, most delicious breakfast. Good value for money, nice pool area. Only minutes away walking from Ubud market, but quiet street with lots on places to do your laundry.

Kleines, zentral gelegenes und trotzdem ruhiges Gästehaus, Zimmer o.k., schöner Pool, schöner Garten
Das Sambahan Inn ist ein kleines Gästehaus in Ubud. Das Zentrum von Ubud (Königspalast / Monkeypark), Reisterrassen / viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten / Warungs / Restaurants sind fußläufig zu erreichen (ca. 10 min). Ich erlaufe mir neue Orte gerne, so war es für mich der perfekte Standort. Ein E-Fahrradverleih befindet sich direkt neben dem Sambahan Inn (kann, wegen dem dichten Verkehr, sinnvoller sein als Roller). Die Straße vor dem Gästehaus hat viel Verkehr, was man im Gästehaus selber überhaupt nicht merkt. Nachdem man den vorderen Hof (der sehr unordentlich und unaufgeräumt ist) durchquert hat, befindet man sich in einer hübschen kleinen Anlage mit einem wunderschönen, gepflegten, tropischen Garten, sauberem Swimmingpool und einigen Bungalows. Die Räume sind groß, es gibt ein Doppelbett (für mich war die Matratze zu weich), Klimaanlage (funktioniert gut, ist aber auch laut), Minikühlschrank, Wasserkocher, Tassen, Tee, Kaffee, ein Hocker ein Sidebord, ein Schrank. Die Ausstattung ist spartanisch aber ausreichend. Kleines Bad mit heißem Wasser und ausreichendem Wasserdruck. Die Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt, frische Handtücher habe ich nach zwei Tagen bekommen. Es war die erste Unterkunft in Bali, bei der die Beleuchtung im Raum gut war. Die Fenster haben lange Vorhänge. Der Bungalow hat eine Terrasse mit Sitzmöglichkeiten. Der Pool ist sauber. Schalldämmung ist ausreichend, wesentlich besser als in anderen Unterkünften. Wenn man auf der Straße vor der Unterkunft steht befindet sich schräg gegenüber ein Parkplatz, auf dem in den frühen Morgenstunden ein local market stattfindet, mit frischem Obst und Gemüse und anderen lokalen Dingen - unbedingt einmal hingehen. Es lohnt sich einfach nur drüberzuschlendern! Um 8 Uhr wird schon abgebaut, gegen 7 h oder früher ist viel los, wirklich sehenswert! Grundsätzlich kann ich die Unterkunft empfehlen. Die Lage und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis sind super, der Garten und der Swimmingpool sind schön.
Ein Moskitonetz wäre schön gewesen, oder wenigstens Haken um mein Moskitonetz (das ich immer in den Tropen dabeihabe) aufzuhängen. Ich habe immer Schnur dabei und habe auch hier Möglichkeiten gefunden, das Moskitonetz aufzuhängen. Es könnte aber einfacher sein. Der Bungalow selbst ist relativ neu und wird auch täglich gereinigt, trotzdem gab es relativ viele Ameisen im Zimmer, die lebten im Türrahmen von der Badezimmertür. Der Schrank ist alt und voller Holzmehl. Die Toilette wackelt, der Klopapierhalter ist defekt. Das Bad selbst ist nicht wirklich sauber, aber o.k. Wäre ich länger geblieben, hätte ich einmal durchgeputzt (wäre nicht das erste Mal in Bali gewesen). Der vordere Hof ist sehr unordentlich und unaufgeräumt. Krasser Gegensatz zu dem Teil des Geländes, wo ich übernachtet habe.
Am Tag vor meiner Anreise bekam ich eine Nachricht vom Sambahan Inn, das sich mein Zimmer im „Balinese Compound“ befinden würde und ich damit rechnen müsse, Tiergeräusche zu hören. Ich war etwas irritiert und fragte nach, was damit gemeint sei. Ich hatte diese Unterkunft auf Grund der guten Bewertungen gebucht und wegen dem Swimmingpool. Die Nachricht klang für mich so, als ob ich auf einem anderen Grundstück untergebracht werden soll. Nach einigem Hin- und Herschreiben bekam ich die Zusicherung, daß ich mein gebuchtes Zimmer bekomme. Bei meiner Ankunft wurde mir ein Zimmer (Nr. 9) im vorderen Hofteil gezeigt, dann wurde ich aber direkt in den hinteren Hofteil gebracht und bekam hier das Zimmer Nr. 4 (das Zimmer im vorderen Teil hat die Nr. 9 - bei der Buchungsbestätigung nach der Zimmernummer fragen! - Zimmer Nr. 9 ablehnen, die Lage ist nicht schön!)
