Ketut's Place Bed & Breakfast Ubud

My husband and I traveled to Ubud 20 years ago, and we were surprised to find how much it has grown and how busy it is, but Ketut’s Place reminds me of how Ubud was all those years ago. It is beautiful and so peaceful. I am also not one to care much about my hotel as I am not usually in it except to sleep, but I was drawn back to the pool and gardens every day.

We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely return! The location was great and it had a very traditional and homely feel. The breakfast was also very yummy! The pool was also very relaxing and close to the rice fields.

Love the surroundings, it is one of the most authentic and picturesque places I've ever stayed. The staff are lovely, we had the opportunity to do a Lesson on blessings and Wayan showed us how to make our own, it was an experience I will never forget. It's a homestay so they whole family is there, and it's lovely. The B&B sits on the side of a cliff and its multi levels, it's like a fairy tale, plants everywhere, moss and vines growing on the walls and intricate art pieces everywhere. You see the family temple and though you can't go in it adds to the authentic Balinese experience. The restaurant serves amazing food at great prices! Its a short walk to Ubud markets and the water temple.

We had 4 separate rooms, not one had a decent shower. There wasn't clear information at the time of booking that not all rooms are lower level. We had 2 rooms that were up 3 flights of stairs, and they are narrow and steep...we ended up changing our booking so we could stay on a lower level. But this could of been a disaster if we couldn't change rooms. The pool had a bit of algae in it, looked stunning but not clean. There had been huge amounts of rain prior so maybe the chemicals just got out of whack. There is no in room fridge, we really missed this to have cold water.
