Our room was outstanding, very spacious and very well presented. Beautiful grounds where we were free to explore. Our evening meal in The Refectory restaurant was superb, staff very friendly and attentive. Just a shame there wasn't more people in there to create a bit more of an atmosphere.
The terrace area has been well used before we arrived and could've done with clearing down of glasses and afternoon tea stands etc so the tables could be re-used by someone else.

Beautiful historic building which is a joy to experience.
Our room was stuffy (thank god for the fan). My mother was in an accessible room which had a drying odour to it (might have explained the air filter and pipe through the window in the room).

Location and facilities were brilliant and all staff were very helpful and friendly. Gluten free requirements handled well.
A little disappointed not to be offered à la carte breakfast menu (as we were on our previous stay). The buffet options offered sufficient but nothing outstanding.

The hotel was set on beautiful grounds and had lovely character.
The staff were all friendly and the bedroom and dining areas were clean.
No slippers were provided in the bedroom.
Breakfast was poor with a very small choice.
