Fantastic building, needs a little more care and attention

Care and attention of the staff was exceptional. The building, history and decor was incredible.

Our room was tucked up in the eaves, up staircases twists and turns. Room was clean but a number of large cobwebs had been missed!

Magnificent stay in total exuberance.

The Hotel was amazing. Couldn’t fault any aspect. Property has total WOW factor. Staff all lovely. Parking right outside. Room lovely. We spent around 45 mins exploring the place before we left and in all honesty could have spent much longer. So many secret rooms to discover it literally blows your mind. Fabulous place. Expensive but when you get there you realise why. Couldn’t fault anything.

This is not a criticism but we thought breakfast could have been improved by changing the location of the hot food (which was lovely and plentiful) as it became quite congested with people coming in and waiting to be seated. There was a private function in attendance whilst we were there which probably exacerbated my only (very) slight issue. This didn’t spoil the breakfast experience whatsoever.

An ideal location for a celebration dinner and overnight stay.

This is our third visit to this hotel, so chose to stay in a feature room, which was very comfortable, and worth the additional cost. We had a very enjoyable celebratory dinner in the refectory restaurant. Good choice available at breakfast.

Superb Hotel

From check in to departure our hotel stay was perfect. The staff are fantastic across all areas nothing is too much trouble for them, they actually go above and beyond to enhance your stay with them. Both breakfast and dinner were great. The feature room was fabulous as is the rest of the hotel and grounds, which also has ample parking. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Impressive abbey to explore! Just wow! From check in with delightful Kenzie our whole stay was awesome. Bar staff were just as friendly. Our room was so quiet and the bed was very comfortable. My husband was very impressed with his steak in the bar

Fabulous night away, will be back to visit again

Excellent hotel, very welcoming staff, provided lots of information about the history of the hotel and the facilities. Dinner was really lovely and staff attentive. The bar was nice and relaxing, Howie served us and was genuinely friendly, polite and chatted to us explaining about a champagne that we had not tried before. Will definatly return for a full weekend

The feature room we booked was fantastic, the grounds are spectacular and the food we had via room service was brilliant. I’d recommend to anyone. It’s that good we’ve booked to say twice next year.

A very enjoyable relaxing stay.

The staff were excellent. They were friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Smartly dressed too. The hotel seemed very quiet which was a delight.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT ♥️

EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING & even more EVERYTHING😊 The reception staff was so warm n welcoming from check in to check out. The hotel, the grounds, the abbey was so beautiful and a breath of fresh air. Stayed in the suite with the roll top bath and I could of stayed in that all day and night. The room size was perfect, the quality of the amenities in the room was also perfect.. The bed wow👀, the size was massive and was sooooo comfortable. The breakfast was very nice and staff all polite and efficient with service. Very very highly recommend to anyone.

Character hotel with a modern twist

Fantastic hotel - so much character yet with a modern twist. Staff are friendly, food is first class and rooms have lots of charm. Beautiful location surrounded by countryside.

Amazing, relaxing, compelling.

Stanbrook Abbey is a beautifully presented hotel, which surprised and amazed me. The architecture and heritage is amazing, created by a great combination of tradition and modernity. The service, food and staff were outstanding. The rooms are beautifully finished and very clean. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

We are more exhausted after our stay than when we arrived.

Pretty building

No air conditioner as listed building, but website last November stated feature rooms had it so booked one of those. Only to find the description had changed and there don’t. Old noisy fan in room. Windows only opened 6 inches so we cooked all night. The number of ‘safety’ lights in the room and lights on appliances made it feel like we were trying to sleep in an 80’s disco. It is well known now that extraneous lighting at night serious affects sleep quality and health. I did advise reception after the first night, but as we were at a wedding we did not know that they hadn’t addressed it as they said they would until very late at night. I reported it again at check out to be told they keep eye masks behind the desk for this reason…. As for cleanliness, our room charged at over £300 ppn hadn’t been dusted in a long time, with many ‘mature’ cobweb with inhabitants noted. Lastly, dogs are allowed to stay, so each morning we were greeted early by barking dogs outside our window running around not being controlled by their owners. All in all pretty disappointing for the price of the stay. They did offer 20% off the price, but we still paid £550 b&b for essentially a weekend of no sleep.

Fantastic place to stay

We loved everything about our short stay at stanbrook abbey. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming. We explored the grounds. The history, building and architecture were amazing and we would love to stay again in the future, one night is not enough! Fantastic, spacious room, catered to all of our needs. Our dog loved his treats thank you and the food was 10/10.

Business trip, perfect for a relaxing stop, surrounding area stunning also.

All staff were fantastic, a real credit, friendly, engaging and super helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean and had a great feeling about it, beutiful building with the hotel integrated into it very well.

Only stayed the one night for business, could happily stay here for a week.

Young staff were the most smart, polite, efficient and attentive I have met for ages. Hotel building (a massive old Abbey) itself is absolutely amazing. Bar food was very good and excellent choice of wines by the glass. Room had a bath (as requested) and was spotless and very comfortable. Great spacious hotel with lovely gardens and huge car park.

It’s grandeur and location to Malvern showground

It’s always expensive to stay there and I’d mentioned we were staying as it was our 30th anniversary there was no acknowledgment of this at the hotel which was disappointing!

A cosy peaceful retreat with welcoming and kind staff!

Staff were so lovely - a reception staff member called Olivia was particularly welcoming and kind. The night away felt like a real treat in a cosy, calm and peaceful environment. We also did a 5k run in the morning and found a great route easily, then had a delicious breakfast.
