Nice and central for visit to Christmas fair

Breakfast was very good The room was nice and spacious Staff were very pleasant

The bathroom could do with updating Walls and doors were scuffed and could do with repainting The mattress was very uncomfortable, very soft and bouncy There was only one bedside table by the double bed when there was plenty of room for two

Very dissapointed indeed

Location was perfect. The room was basic and in poor repair with a cracked door frame to the room and bathroom. The wall paper was peeling off and the furniture was battered and scratched.

The price of the room for 1 night was equivalent to the cost of a 4 star hotel. The room was equivalent to 2 star.

Good location but modernisation needed

The property location is perfect for a short stay in the city centre with all the required facilities in the room.

Before arriving, our main concern was noise from outside but the main noise was inside the building, the walls are paper thin so could clearly hear next door vomiting, the opening and closing of doors, resulting in a very unrestful nights sleep. The rooms and the facilities within are very old and dated, albeit all in working order but it can feel quite depressing as the reception area is clean and modern but the corridors and rooms are old and tired looking.

Central location. Room and bathroom were both big and included an iron and ironing board. Great breakfast.

Only minor thing is no free parking. You can park overnight on the street for free but need to move car by 8am.

Another great stay at Ye Olde Talbot

My room was warm (thank you) and big with a comfortable bed and a good shower. Ye Olde Talbot is centrally located, near shops, restaurants and pubs, and is a 10-minute walk to Worcester Foregate Station.

Enjoyable with just a couple of wrankles

most things good. but, as in the previous stay, the bathroom floor gets flooded when using the shower, with the danger of slipping.

Excellent base for an enjoyable city-break

I've stayed multiple times at this hotel and find it very friendly, comfortable and for the most part well-located (bit of a foot-slog from the railway station though). Excellent breakfast with good choices and also good meals during the day if desired. unusually I had a ground flor room in the newer part of the hotel which was in some respects more convenient

I booked four breakfasts on arrival but when I went down to breakfast first morning this was disputed by the guy in charge - even after I'd shown him a receipt for £50 (12.50x4). He then discovered that it had been paid but had not yet gone through the system - no word of apology. However this is not typical of this hotel and did not spoil my stay significantly.

Comfortable but a bit to much for wit is.

Location is good for shops and bars. Staff friendly and helpful.

Ground floor room just to hot even with no heating on. Had a fan blowing at all times we were in. Clean and tidy but could go with a bit of tlc. Price a bit high for what it is but I guess you are paying for location.

Tired and in urgent need of upgrade

Location. Bed was comfy

Room stank of god only knows what but it was very strong and made me feel sick! It was like possibly someone had been smoking and a hell of a lot of air freshener and polish all mixed into one. It was vile! Very tired and worn, furniture has had its day and the bathroom desperately needs updating. Rotting woodwork. Quite noisy as we were on ground floor, directly behind reception and next to main door. Could hear people shouting in the street at 4am. For what it was the price was too much. We were fine with breakfast not being included as there are many beautiful cafes nearby. I think the price just reflects the location.

Great location and incredibly helpful staff.

Fantastic location within metres of the cathedral. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had the dinner bed & breakfast package and the food and service were excellent - great menu choice and service. Rooms basic, as you'd expect, but everything you needed. And I had a bath, which is always a bonus for me! We were also given use of the meeting room and the staff went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. Exceptional value for money.

Great location and staff - shame about the noise

The staff were very helpful, friendly and polite. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The hotel is situated in the town and very convenient for the cathedral and shops. There is a long stay car park across the road. Great shower in the bathroom.

As the pub is located in the town there was a lot of street noise, and along with the pub being open until midnight there was no early night available. Other guests were very noisy, banging doors and talking loudly in the corridor until 1am. Then noise would start again from 6am. The bathroom was uninviting, basic and looked as if it was in a school. The windows has seen better days and could do with a deep clean not only on the glass but also around the edges and along the grooves. Bedroom needs a new carpet. Communal areas and corridors needs a spruce and better flooring.

Nice hotel - excellent location

Excellent location, great bars, restaurants & theatre all within 10 minutes walk. Hotel was comfortable, the room would have benefited from brighter lights as it made it feel gloomy, but the bed was comfy & all the usual facilities were available. Staff on check-in & breakfast were excellent, cheerful & helpful 😊

Bathroom needs a bit of attention. Very dated & a bit shabby. Shaving mirror & sink drainage faulty. However, water was nice & hot and towels were fresh & not shabby.

A very enjoyable stay in Worcester.

The room was adequate for the amount of people due for breakfast. Service was fast and instructions clear on where everything was. Staff were polite and knowledgeable of breakfast procedures. The accommodation was clean and welcoming, however, the paintwork was old and cracking and rooms could benefit from a facelift in many ways. The location is in the middle of Worcester and was really close to the Cathedral and town centre.

There was a confusion on the booking, only one person was expected for arrival. I noticed the confirmation letter only accounted for one guest and so I sent a second email to confirm my husband would also be accompanying me as well. This was discussed whilst we were eating our breakfast and I didn't appreciate having to justify my booking at that time.
