A nice pick next to a great location.

Very good pick for the price. Only minus, the bathroom area was a little outdated and in need of refreshing with a loose toilet seat and access to the bathroom slightly unpractical. Good mattress and very large size. As to the location, the hotel is located one block down from the beach which is fine.

2 flights up makes it a little hard for those who don't like stairs, that are a bit steep. An elevator would be a plus. In our case, the bathroom area was a little out of date but still very acceptable.

Clean hotel but very basic and slightly outdated.

The hotel itself was quite old, yet the room and bathroom was clean. The hotel is situated very close to the boulevard (1 block away) that leads to the old city (20 minutes walk).

Upon arrival we heard that the hotel was overbooked, so we were more or less forced to take the 1 room left in Hotel de la mer and accept that my colleague had to stay in another hotel approx. 1 km away (away from the old city). The room was very basic (no fridge, no possibility to make a cup of tea or coffee). Also the bathroom was pretty outdated and the painting of doors and door frames was done very amateuristic. The wifi on the 2nd floor was oke (pretty slow though with a video call) when using my laptop, yet with my phone the wifi was too weak to get a signal and data through. Rooms were also very noisy, during the night you could hear people walk, talk and snore.

Enjoyed our stay

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The walk to Saint Malo old town is along the sea which was lovely. €8 Mojitos in the bar, a pool table & foosball - handy amenities to have downstairs!

Absolutely everything. One of the best stays we have ever had. Absolute friendliest hotel owner. Left with a genuine friendship. Nothing was ever an issue. So welcoming. Great location. Beautiful spot. Can't say enough good things about the this place. We will definently be back.

Very nice barman, didn't get his name, woman who checked me in when I arrived seemed to care less, I asked her did she speak English( I used French) and her one word response was Non! On car parking, she waved dismissively towards front of the house, which is actually street parking and a bit of a lottery. Shouldn't be described as free parking icon bookings. com. Apart from that lovely hotel, nice clean room and good breakfast

Very good

The hotel has changed its name since I booked. So it was a bit difficult to find. Apart from that everything was fine. Just across the road there is an entrance to the promenade with a good walk into the town of St Malo. We were able to park in a street behind the hotel and it is a 10 minutes drive to the ferry.

Great place to stay in St. Malo

The receptionist was nice and welcoming. There is a nice view and it is not very far from intra-muros (we walked every day 15 mins)

Cigarette smell in room!

Location served the purpose for me.

everything. but the worst is cigarette smell in the room and everywhere in the hotel. if I would have time and energy in the evening I would definitely change hotel. It is absolutely unacceptable to have cigarette smell in place where I sleep. it cannot be considered normal by any mean (regardless of hotel price). I could close my eyes for uncomfortable bed or very thin blanket (in my opinion) but cigarette smell is nightmare. so basically I arrived for one night as I had early morning meeting in Saint Malo and I live 3 hours away, so didn’t want to wake up too early to drive and wanted to have a proper rest. well I didn’t as sleeping with such smell was nearly impossible. on top of it I am 6 months pregnant, so not ideal for my or baby health. i would absolutely not recommend this hotel, I am sure there are better places, but I was unlucky to chose the wrong one.
